Our 1.9 tdi VW T5 Flatbed needs more power so we took it to Darkside Developments. MORE BHP!

I love the way this looks, inside and out. The whole vehicle now looks and even smell's like new but man it drove like s**t.
This thing was so under powered, it needed something sorting before I drive it to The Netherlands for the launch of Transporter HQ Europe. There was only 1 thing for it, a trip to ‪@DarksideDevelopments‬ for more power!!

I’ve just got the same truck ,so I’m wondering how much would that cost a normal customer for 3 days labour + parts ….. I’m guessing 2.5k ish I’m a bricklayer actually using it for carrying heavy loads. My next question is for a suspension upgrade … what you’d recommend and cost?

😂😂 yeah 85bhp was pretty pointless. This can carry lots of weight if we wanted to. The air suspension can easy take its maximum laden weight. We have friends in the Netherlands who are already Transporter enthusiasts so it was the best place for us. Yes TÜV would put me off German. We wouldn’t get away with half the stuff we do there 🤭

@@THQAutomotive Yes,the weight is definitely not a problem now, for that wimp turned beast... it gets interesting when you load up and try to pull off with 85 HP 🙈😂😂😂😂 They probably thought it would be funny 🤔😫😂 So,THQ goes continental, means LHD headlights too, i guess 😜👍 The ones I find here aren't really convincing, and I'm not sure if they're even European. Will THQ Netherlands be offering the same service as you do in the UK, or just deal with the parts ? If you need help on the German side, I would be happy to help you out. I'm half German, and a mechanic, so I know my way around the technical side in both languages. Looking forward to new footage 👍,best wishes, Rob

Love Darkside. Not done business with them but it's a great channel for anyone not familiar with them. 👍 Darkside for mechanical upgrades and turbos and Revo for remapping perhaps?

Was trying to suggest multiple suppliers rather than dumping Revo in favour of Darkside. My personal preference would always be DD. Talented engineers and appear very ethical. ,😀👍

Yeah as Ryan said, there mirrors came as standard on this vehicle. People have asked us why we’ve not swapped them for regular mirror but we really like these. Especially with the commercial look.
