I would genuinely pay to watch a live stream of Murray, just painting minis and talking about the process. This man is an absolute delight to watch and incredibly talented. Definitely Team Murray

Murrys painting-style is so different. High contrast, almost like cell-shading. I`m not sure I like it, but then when I see them togheter on a board I`m like huh, those look really good!

Need to keep us updated on the Bunnings foam. I have one sheet, but the better quality stuff can be bought online (just very small portions at a premium)

Awesome job on both the creative designing and the technical painting, Murray! I think you really outdid yourself with the colours and techniques on this one.

Every time i see Murray paint it reminds me of John Blanche artwork, its just those mixes of different colours as shadows and midtones that give it that real painterly look.

Jen wheeling Dave through Bunnings is a funny touch. Murray's paint job is great; as is his creepy slide out of frame.

Dave, you should turn the storm bird base around like the ruins are outside the giant door. Although if you do that you might need to give the back side of the door some detail.

Hey if you're okay with painting eye dots. Dot the yellow with a red for the iris/pupil. Gives them a real sinister look to the eyes and I feel brings the mini to life.

Now I'm somewhat torn...part of me wants to do some more snow and ice terrain, but I also remember how burned out I was on it back with my Scourge themed Vampire Counts army back with Warhammer Fantasy... And I've just started on a more modular board since Dollar Tree started carrying 12" square plywood panels and building upwards from them

you're kidding that's twice bunnings have discontinued a really useful foam sheet product and this one that they discontinued was semi translucent and could be back lit for props and terrain too (it also was garbage to taking fine details though and annoying to cut without a hotwire) I hope they have something in the works to replace it because it was really useful and by comparison foamcore is expensive for covering details and isn't thick

Plot twist, the stormbird had a genestealer on it and a GSC drew a hive fleet in, Those were only scouts. Luckily for the space bears, they're on the less populated side of the planet. Unfortunately, it won't matter soon.
