Did you enjoy the dine with the giraffes? Seems different than other videos….

@@ItsSimplyAda thank you for your reply. Other people’s KZbin videos show the dining on a low level, redwood deck with a lot of close interaction with 2 giraffes. Did you do the evening dining? Looking at going end of Aug, thus all my questions:)

Ok yeah, that's what we were looking forward to as well. They recently built the black metal platform you see in our video because they said insurance reasons and they were tearing down the red one. The giraffe that was in the video during our Dining with Giraffes was google, he's apparently the younger of their 2 giraffes (not the same giraffe as shown in the beginning of the video) so I guess he was still a little meh about the dining part. Plus the guy said because the weather when we went got rainy and chilly the day we went to dine with them that the pressure change could've also played into how the giraffe didn't want to come to the table. It wasn't the experience we were looking forward to for sure, but we did still enjoy being close to him inside the enclosure. The guy that was with us decided that we'd go to him since he wasn't coming to the platform. I will also say we were bummed that we didn't get to play with a baby kangaroo because that's what we originally booked, but they didn't have any since I guess the ones we played with were the babies at one point lol. Over all it was a fun experience and we would go back, but definitely try to call ahead because I think the website needs updating to the new stuff. Like you can't rent ATV/UTVs anymore due to insurance, which when we booked you could. We did the 11am brunch with the giraffes. In Aug you may have a different experience because the weather may be more favorable.

@@ItsSimplyAda I really appreciate all your help…the company’s communication/helpfulness is somewhat lacking. They have a 9am or 6pm dining, thought earlier the better in Aug ….perhaps they won’t be “snacked” out. Also looking at the safari tour. Did you get to feed the giraffes at other times? And yes, would love restaurant suggestions.
