Adrian take the water heater off the roof and discard the heating tubes and use either 12v, 24v heating elements using a converter or a 220v element from the inverter.

when you have air con in you house and it not a inverter one you bill will be massive.next year ill be putting a xp6000 eg4 systen with 8 500 watt pannel and 2 48volt battery on my house

How you all plan to secure the panels during hurricane Season? a Sliding Design would have facilitated Easy off ramping ahead of an upcoming storm. A Cat 2 or above seems it will really threaten these large surface area panels. if you had the faces fractalized to smaller say a quarter of each, then perhaps permanent mounting as seems the current could would have been sufficient. But as we seh time a come we we see how it holds up, Great pivoting though but try addressing the design to adapt for gale force winds,😇🙏.. The total outlay seems about 20K USD so Payback should be 3 years. Do comment on that as these are considerations to be addressed if you are seeking customers. You could float a per Kw cost, just has you have a built Sq. footage cost for residential, l commercial etc.

We already went through hurricane Beryl unscathed. Panels mounted on roofs like these are pretty secure. Only issue to be noted are for flat roofs that require panels to be mounted at an angle. In those cases, you’d have to take them down before a hurricane. This system of ours would cost a lot less than $20K. Actually less than $15k.
