This hasn't happened to us yet, but we know it could. Thanks for sharing! Also, that ceiling would be way too low for me, I would've ended up with bruises all over my forehead. haha

We loved Lyon! We were there 3 weeks ago. We were in the 2nd arrondissement (city center) and loved it but Rousse Croix would be nice too. We slit our time 3 weeks in Lyon and 3 weeks in Avignon. Hope you have fun!

Yikes! We had an AirBnB change a week ahead in Mexico but the company had other units to move to in the same building. We've had good luck with AirBnB Service, glad you had an overall good experience.

Sorry to hear that. I have had pretty good luck with Airbnb. Knock on wood. Thanks for watching.

Wow, I have only had that happen once (when lockdown was first announced) but never for a long stay. I did have to leave an airbnb after a day or so because of a boiler failure that couldn't be fixed ... but Airbnb refunded me the difference between that one and the new Airbnb I found (they were useless at that) and I got a small credit as well. Again it wasn't a month stay (I think it was a week) but when you have nowhere else to live it can be a bit scary. Well done on sorting it out and glad that you are now settled. I've been to France several times but never to Lyon and I think it's top of the list for that country, if and when I go back.

Sorry that happened to you! I am expecting we will eventually run into an Airbnb we have to leave early. Thanks for watching!

Sorry to hear your AirBnB canceled on you like that. Looks like you ended up in a pretty nice (though maybe a bit strange) place in the end. Did AirBnB give you more of a credit than you originally paid for the first place? Like did they subsidize part of the costs your more expensive next place? You mentioned a few costs in the video but I wasn’t sure where it landed. Thanks! Hope you have a great time in Lyon!

Airbnb gave me a $123 rebooking credit that I was able to apply to the new Airbnb in Lyon. They also gave me $350 as a credit to be applied to a future booking. So $473 total against my $700 increase in cost from my original Airbnb. I was happy with the resolution. Thanks for watching.

Don't you hate buying condiments every move? That was quite a low ceiling

Nice to see Airbnb give you some credit for the hosts cancellation. We had a host cancel on us in Albuquerque due to a 'plumbing issue'. However, we're pretty sure it's because we wouldn't move to their other property, close to the highway, so they could extend for their current guest. Unsurprisingly, the property was back up available in 24-48 hours despite the host saying it would take up to 2 months to fix 🙄

I hate that happened to you! I hope you still enjoyed Albuquerque. We were there recently for the Balloon Fiesta. Thanks for watching.
