Lima, Peru // Our last day in Lima! It started with a coffee hunt and ended with a cab ride to the airport. Highlights in between include a local market, lunch with Ericka, Good Friday celebrations at the main square, and an asian pork bun! Oh and we never found our AirBnB hosts...

Looked like a really nice last day in Peru. I wish we'd got time to explore it while we were in that part of the world. We only had the joy of 8 hours waiting in the airport on our way to Mexico. Next time! Sitting in Tokyo right now (a capsule hotel actually) so thinking we might have to go right back to the start of the Kara and Nate KZbin days and relive some of the old videos. I also love my coffee, and your comment on never going to a fast food place leaves out the great coffee (usually) at McDs that is not stupidly marked up in price compared to other places. I also hate re-packing when I leave a hotel. I just try to remove as few things from my bags as possible, and put them back in the bag after I use it. Also keep toiletries in the gallon ziploc bag you use at the airport, that way you can just grab the ziploc bag and pack it in the bigger bag.

If you watch Knorpp and South, they are a family of 11 traveling Europe atm. They have packing cubes that separate all of their different items or you can do a day or two at a time. Elination did a trip to Japan and he is their son and did a trip to Japan and has much less videos and you can probably find the cubes easier.

Bit late to comment, but I worked for Airbnb and it is definitely not Airbnbs fault when it comes to this kind of thing. The Hosts set up their 'advertisement' and how they list their home/apartment/property type and the pricing, all of that. Us Airbnb employees only assist on how the website works, and mediating with Host and Guests. Majority of the money goes to the Host as well, Airbnb has a service fee % that they get and it's always lower than the total price of the nightly rate and how many days you chose.

I'm sure you guys know the freq traveler tip, roll your clothes. It takes truly less space and gives you ability to put more in.

its actually depends on what you are packing. thinking like jackets, sweaters, or sweatpants actually benefit more in folding that rolling. it ends up being too bulky, and dress shirts are less wrinkled if you fold them, but like shirts, skirts, pj pants, short, legging, and some jeans work better with rolling.

To all people planning to visit Peru... holy Friday and New Year are the only days that almost everything will he closed, so be aware! :D Also, main restaurants (you know, the famous one) will be closed on Sundays in Lima, or open only for lunch

I am having an Airbnb here in London attacking me with messages accusing me of things that I never did to her and her place, just because I reported her to Airbnb for uncleanliness and Violation of Our Privacy, and I requested my Refund. She had planned her Scheme to Scam me even before I arrived to her Place, that's why She never introduced herself to me, So I didn't have to See her face, and Now She is accusing of destroying her place, and Requesting Twice the Amount I paid to stay there, and my daughter and Me couldn't even Shower the entire time We were at her Place because her Place was too dirty, and in Bad Shape. PLEASE DO NOT USE AIRBNB for your travels.

Depends on experience. Please do not lump all host and airbnb together. I've had much more negative experience with hotels/motels than with Airbnb, so i suppose it's about perspective. I recommend reading AT LEAST 4 pages back on reviews( if possible) and go for superhosts if possible. Also if they have reviews of other spaces look at those as well. In the past 6 years of using airbnb I've had two negative experiences so just a matter of how you look at it. Its like hotels, you can't expect all of them to be great.
