It’s amazing how interesting it is just watching a family that you’re not a part of! (Except for all the annoying colorful beeping.) You know what would be REALLY interesting ?!?! It would be really interesting, if it were possible, to watch a real-live family from the 1700s or 1800s getting ready to go to school!!! What about from the 1500s in Europe, if it were possible?? We could learn so much!!! One of the things was that, surprisingly, only boys went to school back then, if at all. I hear the thought was that since girls were not going to have a profession, then why attend school? This was even the thought, sometimes, into the 1700s. But, what about learning for learning’s sake? That’s certainly a worthy goal! I’m very thankful that today, though you can’t always say we live in better times, that we do have education laws that benefit both girls and boys.
