Babies nervous systems develop while they're in the womb and they develop directly from the patterns of their mothers nervous system. They also don't have any capability *of regulating their nervous systems in their first years, so their primary caregiver is their direct regulator. This is how we pass down generational trauma. You guys are doing a fantastic job with your awareness and with educating yourselves and others. As with all disorders or diseases, this is one of the primary underlying causes as well as environmental causes combined, like you've mentioned. The best way to turn these things around is with the caregivers getting educated and working on regulating and changing the patterns of their own nervous system. As the child of a very stressed parent throughout my entire childhood, I'm still highly sensitive and very easily overstimulated and developed a severe chronic illness but FINALLY regulating my nervous system and this has been the key (along with the lifestyle changes which I made before discovering the revolutionary nervous system info). All the best to you guys, you're doing a great job bringing these important issues up.

I had breath holding spells as a toddler. It caused injuries multiple times and is something that has stuck with me. Also I saw someone elses comment about Autistic girls doing this and that resonates with me because I'm Autistic. I wasnt diagnosed until I was 13. Anyway, I hope Karma is okay! ♡

I've heard that children with intense/large personalities are more likely to have breath holding spells. A child in my care has his first spell with me. It was very scary. Once I educated myself on it, I could deal with it calmly.

My kid both had breath spells , my youngest was worse he has seizures from his spells :( when he was 2 he had a two hour long cluster seizures and was in hospital for 5 days :( I found when his irons was low he would have more spells.. my daughter the blow to the face worked really well and wouldn’t pass out.. my son it didn’t work at all .. he’s now 5 and only has them once a monthish .. I really appreciate that your sharing your story

My 3 year old has breath holding spells from 6 months till 18 months ish. It's honestly terrifying she used to go grey and blue. She used to get so mad and hold her breathe. It passed luckily. I find it crazy how much more common than we think xx

Hi guys, it's so scary to see your child having one of them, I can still remember the first time it happened to my grandson me my daughter were in some state crying not knowing what to do we phoned 999 and an ambulance came and to him to hospital checked him over then he was back home but ever since that night he kept having them and the hospital told my daughter to blow on his wee face if it ever happened again but he did grow out of them Thank god because even though you knew what it was and it really was scary every time so glad he doesn't have them anymore he's 10 now but he was about 3 when they stopped. I'm Happy karma doesn't have them anymore xxx

Have you thought about having karma tested for autism? When you were talking about the the breath holding spells and the triggers that brings autism traits into mind.
