I would say it's a residual from kittenhood, even though Pink was a fostered bottle-fed baby, it is still associated with being loved by 'mama' as a kitten, being nursed and cared for. She associates the Smiths as that same level of contentment, therefore, continues to drool even as an adult.

I think black kitties have gotten a bad rap. I used to cat rescue and the black kitties male or female were the most and are the most lovable there is 🥰🥰

My dad's cat Spook used to drool on me n only me lol. He looked all black, but was actually 1/2 Siamese, so in bright sun, you could see marking if I looked hard enough.

The stories about Pink and Tucker was interesting today. They really seem to love ya'll so much! My in-laws have 20 acres, a couple huge barns, several outbuildings, etc. The did have 3 identical black cats when I first married my husband that were three siblings from the same litter. We couldn't tell them apart so we called them This, That and The Other.

I named one cat. " No name, Bojangles". I even named my kitten and puppy. Kitty and puppy. Every other pet had a NAME. HARLEY, DAVIDSON was another name. ALWAYS HAD GREAT pETS. When I was in my last few moments of being pregnant with my first baby March, 1976. Our cat was also pregnet. We joked❗Who WOULD be FIRST❓🌹. Our cat WAS. One day before me. On my favorite robe in the closet. 6 kittens. 3/23/1976. Her first kittens. Our daughter was born on her due (our first baby. We almost did it together) L.O.L. date. March 24, 1976. First date given to me. The DR. Was CORRECT from MICHIGAN 🌹🀄✝️🛐🀄. We moved to D.C. Georgetown University of D.C. All was perfect. In the hospital for 47 MINUTES,. Then she was BORN. THANK YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST 🀄🀄🀄🛐🛐🛐✝️✝️✝️🀄🀄🀄 our FIRST & ONLY. 6 others went HOME to Jesus. In the next 10 years. AMEN.

THANK YOU. JAsON. We had black cat when I was a young girl for 13 years . Last week TUESDAY before T.G. My adopted cat had a stroke and her beautiful HEART stopped. I miss her so much. THANK YOU for telling us about your Barn cats. I cried. Part of healing. I PRAYED that GOD WILL bring me another cat. We've had cats/kittens. Most of our life's. Dog's too. M.C. Love Pink's drooling and independence, and Tucker is a puppy cat. I have always had black cats until recently adopted a tabby who was one of 41 cats kept in cages in a u-haul trailer. He has been an amazing cat and my current black cat loves him. Very fun to hear how Pink and Tucker became part of Cog Hill. Hope y'all have a super blessed week!

They have a puppy cat & a puppy cow! Lol! Now that is very cool!!! It breaks my heart to hear how some of these animals lived! My 2 pups have a horrible story also. But none of our pets are suffering any longer!👍🏻 I believe anyone who has compassion & a heart for any animal are the best friends to have! There is just something about animal loving people! Once my dog didn't like someone and I learned real fast to trust her instincts! She was right.❤

Google's answer: Some cats may drool when they are extremely relaxed and enjoying being petted or cuddled. This is not uncommon and merely indicates a physiologic response to happiness. Similarly some cats may drool when they are asleep, probably because they are so relaxed. ... This type of drooling is often an indication of a happy cat.

I have had only 1 cat that used to drool, when I was loving on her. (from the 6 or 7 cats) Maybe simuler to a dog when awaiting its treats. The cat I have at the moment had all of a sudden a very slimy beak, and was screaming : she probably bit into a toad. I rinsed her mouth and 30 min later she recovered.

My Precious cat "Mama Kitty" looked just like your Pink...she didn't have a meow either until she was extremely old...then she sounded just like Pinks meow today...and she too Drooled every time she was excited....she loved her Lovins, and she loved treats and good food...she CHOSE me...she walked up onto my gravel driveway one day with a kitten. So I added her to my feral clan...she weaned her kitten and made it start eating kibble. So I had the cat coalition help get her spayed...her ear was tipped...her poor ears and one eye showed signs of a hard life fighting and living on her own....she lived outside until I sold my mobile home...when I moved into my apartment she became an inside Kitty and was quite content...she was already over 15yrs old...I lost her in Early June 2021 and my mom on June 24th...that left a big void in my home...one day when it's the right time I'll rescue another senior Kitty. They really need a special home with special love...and I have that.... Love ALL of your videos and your animals....but ESPECIALLY the kitties... From your friend in Oklahoma....Renea...

FYI: You can really cut down on your labour by letting the chickens into the steers area, sprinkle some chicken feed on top of his poop and let the chickens scratch the poop around for you. Watch some of Justin Rhodes "older" videos. He'd let the flies land on the poop for a couple of days until larva would be growing and then let the chickens have at it. He never had to scoop up any poop and the grass grew plenty for his sheep to eat. Something to think about.

@@CogHillFarm After a while, you will have an abundance of it. And the chickens will help keep down flies and other parasites. I understand wanting, even needing, the natural fertilizer. Just keep it in mind for when the time comes. It is really so beneficial in many ways! Makes a huge difference.

There are many reasons I love your content. One of them I realized today: You have a very healthy attitude to your animals. You love them as personalities without anthropomorphizing them. Even if you call them "boss lady" or "sheriff", they are loved but still treated as animals. I really enjoy that.

My cat Licorice looked just like Pink! All black and one fang would hang out and he'd drool and it would drip down that tooth. Usually he would lay on my chest in the AM, and purr and drool and it would pile up on the little notch below my neck. LOL. Vet said the drool is because he is happy. Also, the vet could hold him under the arms and he'd go limp and he could flip him right over. Best cat ever.

I have 2 boy black cats ( Jake & Elwood / the blues brothers lol ) they were trapped as kittens in a back woods shed so we assumed they are brothers. I'm not so sure they are now, one is 3x the size of the other one lol.

Thank you for the history on Tucker & Pink. AND your mama’s cats also! I love ALL the cats regardless of color. Many years ago, we let our boys pick out two cats at the shelter. The black one would barely make a squeak when she tried to meow. Therefore, her name was Squeak! Lived for 21 years, so eventually, became my cat when the boys left home! Everyone seems so happy at the Cog Hill 40! But, I think Moody is by far the most grateful!! He’s definitely a great addition to the farm! 😻. 🇺🇸MesquiteTX

We have an older male cat who moved in two winters ago. He was very shy, but warmed up when I started to brush him. Recently, he is swallowing a lot when I pet or brush him. I suspect he swallows the drool. Beneath his dignity. 😂 He is a great mouser!

Love hearing the back stories of the kitties...especially Tucker's name...I have a sweet boy named Duey...after Dumor feed. Someone dumped him behind our Tractor Supply when he was a tiny kitten. We had a stray we rescued. He was a drooler. Finally found out he had gum disease. Had all his teeth pulled. Bless him. He lost a lot of weight and finally had to put him down. Check her teeth.

Years back, we had a Siamese cat. My son use to take our dog for a walk everyday. The cat, Diva, (yes, she was a Diva!) use to go with them. No leash. She just followed along, staying right with them. It was too neat.

I once had a long haired black cat that the more love you gave him the more he drooled and purred. Ultimate love. He lived to be 21+ years old.
