This is a short guide on the settings we run our Equinox 600's on and a 'beginners guide' on what numbers some targets(US coins, silver and gold) show up as. These are our personal preferences and opinions.

I never knew this video was here until I stumbled apon it….very informative and glad I watched it. I know it was 3 years ago lol but I was caught up in your videos from where I started watching like a year and a half ago. I do watch your earlier coin pusher videos, the ones I missed, boy are they a hoot lol. I hope you feel better Jason and thank you for opening your little part of your life and what you do for fun along with your daughter. She was so timid at the start but has grown into a beautiful woman and I just adore her😊😊 I don’t do much where I’m at so I pass my free time watching all 3 channels now. I’m alone with my 2 youngest well they are 18&21 so they aren’t babies by any means but it’s just us the rest of my family is on NJ and I don’t get back there as often as I’d like due to work and finances so thank you again fir giving me an outlet to keep myself entertained. Have a good day 😊😊😊 see ya next video

Yo, as a fella from Tassie who's about to embark on this exciting quest with *hopefully* an Equinox 600 or Vanquish 540, I'm so excited to get out there and find some cool stuff!! Lookin' forward to hitting the beach, all our national parks/forests here in tassie and even some shallow lakes/creeks. So excited! :D
@AussieBeachHunters
@AussieBeachHunters 3 жыл бұрын
Hey, awesome! Can’t say much about the Vanquish 540 but we love the Equinox 600. It could be different rules but I believe we aren’t allowed to hunt national parks here in WA even with a permit. Would be a lot of old finds in our national parks it’s a shame. Best of luck, would love to be updated in how you go. Happy hunting! 😁

Great video. Quick question. Will aluminum cans, bottle caps and ring pulls bring up completely different numbers to the coins you showed or are there overlaps in numbers? Cheers
@AussieBeachHunters
@AussieBeachHunters 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Definitely an overlap in numbers. Generally a coin or jewellery is very solid in sounding and the numbers don’t jump around to much, a bottle cap is usually a 15 but the numbers aren’t solid it’ll be all over the place. A ring pull is usually a solid 13 (have to dig those could easily be a gold ring!) aluminium cans are high tones generally 23-26 but again not a solid number and the target generally seems quite large underground if you move the detector all around it. Practice definitely will help disguise targets!

The squigly line with the line through it you activated is tracking ground balance, whist it is auto, it’s not actually the auto ground balance you mentioned. Beach modes tend to do better with it off.

Hi, love the video but have a quick question - What's the point in setting your ground balance to "0" when you then turn on automatic ground balance tracking anyway? I have my 600 set to automatic tracking ground balance and the ground balance value will constantly fluctuate, not stay at zero. Your opinion please?👍

@AussieBeachHunters
@AussieBeachHunters 2 жыл бұрын
No worries James! Great choice, it’s a fantastic detector. Definitely a pin pointer, we now use the garret carrot and love it (the nokta pulse dive we won, and it was good for the beach (we don’t go in the water which is it’s main use so can’t say much for that) but not so good for the grass). And a good scoop is a must! Sito are fantastic. Best of luck!

Just subscribed mate brilliant video well explained. Thinking of getting that one today. I am a total novice and I have a garret 150 ace but I cant get on with it. My main hobby is sea angling and I live right by a creek only a minute walk. As you know tide goes in and out on a 12 hour cycle and when it's out I want to detect. The ground is variable from soft, weedy, and rocky. I wouldn't dream of fishing with substandard gear and thought it would be worth having a reasonable detector what do you think please. TIA. TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE MATE. TOM.
@AussieBeachHunters
@AussieBeachHunters Жыл бұрын
Hey Tom! Sea angling sounds awesome. Our closest beach is a 30-35 min drive for us. 100% the equinox can’t go wrong, we run the 600 have been for 3 years and still going strong, perfect for wet and dry they do have newer models now I believe the 900 (if you watch some of our newer videos with Greg in them, he runs the 900) it is completely different VDI numbers and tones though from what we know, so I can’t say much about the 900. But I always recommend the equinox 600 even 800 (Same VDI and tones just a few added features which might be worth looking into, if our 600’s break I’d think we would upgrade to the 800 but again I’d need to research what the added features are if they make any difference for us). Personally dad and I both think we wouldn’t go the 900 because of how sensitive they are, a lot of false targets from what we’ve seen they are just that sensitive and because the 600 does exactly what we want it for, coins and jewellery lol. Take care, happy hunting. I’d love to know what you end up with!

Oh that is awesome!! Happy early birthday. We did our own yards first to! Goodluck on the beaches. I’m unsure on the size but it is one of the largest ones we could find and yes it is quite heavy. Hoping to get a carbon fibre handle for it which will make it much lighter. It’s a great scoop if your interested in really deep targets like we dig I can find it’s name on amazon if interested. Hi on the 600 what's the best setting to find gold nuggets in mineralised ground as it hasn't the gold setting of the 800? Thanks
@AussieBeachHunters
@AussieBeachHunters 3 жыл бұрын
Hello! The 600 I personally wouldn’t recommend for gold nuggets, like you said it hasn’t got the gold feature the 800 has. We’ve never taken it out to find gold nuggets either have always stuck to beaches and parks so unfortunately I can’t help with which settings on the 600 would be best for it. If you were interested looking for gold nuggets I strongly recommend another detector choice to maximise your finds! Best of luck, happy hunting!
