Hi Tom, it's going to be a great ride for sure, suggestion, route the spare clutch cable along the existing cable so if the original cable fails you just need to connect up the end points. Also don't trust the waterproofness of the bags, put your sleeping bag in a stuff sack, and your fuel bladder and chair in a duffle bag, so you don't lose them if the strap comes loose.

14:48 - Tom, you should put some Polystyrene Panels inside the garage door, it insulates it well and keeps the garage warmer in winter and colder in summer. i did it at home and its noticeable. costs about $300. i got mine from ebay.

I don't normally notice tires, but those Motoz are eye catchers for a dual sport. They seem to be super expensive here in Canada (like everything).
@davedakozman49662 жыл бұрын
Hey Tom. They look like MotoZ Dual Venture front tires I think. I was looking at putting those on for a trip from Sydney to Cape York and back but try as I may, I can’t find a review on the net that says they don’t wear quite quickly. Everything else is great but the blocks ramp fairly early in the piece. Maybe okay on a lighter bike though. They say they are reversible which is great but better not to have to. Would you mind giving us an update on the wear because I would prefer to buy Australian If I can. Safe travels!
@nyedavis9222 жыл бұрын
Can I just make one suggestion - the wheel bearings SM pro use seem to be pretty shit. That or they don't grease the bearings before installing in the hubs. I've had two sets of SM pro wheels now for WRs. Both sets the front wheel bearings have failed in the first 1-2k miles. Comparatively I put almost 20k on the OEM hubs and before replacing bearings. Since replacing the bearings they've been fine and are about 3k miles in with no play. Lovely wheels, the just seem to cheap out on the bearings

The Tractionator Adventure are pretty decent mate, i reckon youll make the 11k with some spare. Alittle stiff to change roadside but offer good puncture resistance so hopefully you wont need to. Havent tried the DV's yet, tried to score some but they were out of stock. Good luck, soak it up and stay safe👊

Do you also have the low seat concepts seat or std height? The low without lowering link looks like it would be too sloped fwd, but seems to look okay on yours.
