Allison, I have been single for 5 years no one EVER hits on me in public. Until one day last summer when I was HORKING down a vegan ice cream cone in a gluten free waffle cone.... I am allergic to everything so when I see a place I can eat ice cream I GOT DOWN!! As I was going full Cookie Monster gobbling it down, I got asked out by some cute person. Unfortunately I am retired from dating, but I think this is a sign to start your Instagram. The few times I am able to eat ice cream is truly magical .

If Im being fully honest, I started following the original KZbin channel partly for the drama/tension. You both were still very talented actors who also had very interesting discussions. However, there was as tense vibes, from little miscommunications and more flippant statements from you both. There was definitely a sense that a conflict or feud was upcoming back then? And I believe a fairly high percentage of the watch numbers were somewhat gawkers (who enjoy drama and were waiting for conflict, like on reality tv). Which I think was flawed audience behaviour from us tbh, sorry about that. Whereas now you both have grown so much and are building a much healthier friendship, with a more sutainable basis and mature communication of your thoughts. Which is great to see!! And I think the vast percentage of people watching now are supportive of that and of genuinely nuanced and forgiving communication. But that perhaps some of the people no longer watching were more Roman crowd who egg on the drama types? I think Gabe talked about a similar idea once, about how back on twitter it felt like they had a lot of followers but that a lot were lurking and hoping he'd fail? (Also Id be very supportive if you ever want to stage a dramatic friend divorce on youtube to clickbait them all lol.) And sincerely, its been fantastic to see you both grow and find your authentic voices as your careers progress. I real feel a large percentage of us are cheering you both on positively these days!

I am currently unemployed and without cable so I watch a ton of KZbin. Vlogumentary was suggested to me and I thought, darn how long ago was that released? Anyway, I saw so many folks in the movie that I kinda remembered watching years ago. The one scene I remembered immediately was the Gabe does food delivery part. As someone who has watched JBU since the early days, yes, you should have kept doing sketches and I think a lot of people were confused/angry when things just abruptly stopped with little to no explanation at the time. I understand that both of you were having issues behind the scenes and things weren't going as well as they appeared publically and I'm glad you realized that you had to put yourselves first. On the outside, however, it seemed like you had a good thing going that people enjoyed and then it just stopped out of nowhere. I think that ended up hurting the channel more than it would have if you would have continued what you were doing and eventually explained what was going on behind the scenes and tried to come up with a compromise to make it work for yourselves and the fans of the channel. But, like you said, hindsight.

Like that one fight episode where Allison started acting psycho because Gaby didn’t tell her they slept with a mutual friend. It isn't psycho to be and act genuinely hurt when your friend keeps something from you, not for the reason of keeping it private or to themselves, but solely for the purpose of having some weird form of power over you. THAT was the issue there: not that Gabe slept with someone and didn't tell Allison, but that he purposefully kept it from her for the sake of keeping it from her to have something over her. Had it genuinely been just to keep it to himself or to protect the queer identity of the person he slept with who wasn't out of the closet yet (which is valid, but not the real reason why he did it) then it would be a completely different and understandable story, but that's not how it actually transpired from Allison's perspective, which is completely valid. This was just one instance of Gabe doing this to her that broke the camel's back. So sure, to an outsider it can seem completely psycho, but it was such a dog whistle tip of the iceberg incident backed by years of other instances like this one.
