I had the same thing happen! 28 + 5 days my water broke. Stayed at a 2 for a long time. Was pushed to start pitocin (which led to several other interventions). My epidural didn't work completely (I had a hot spot that I still felt the full force contractions). But otherwise, our labors seem to have gone very similarly! I remember feeling so discouraged too when my induced contractions were SO strong and I was only at a 4 😔. Congratulations on making it through and delivering that sweet nugget!

Tip . Do not tell them contractions don't hurt much if you would like to let your labor gradually intensify so they won't be quick to start pitocin and throw you into painful intense contractions

@@madialdy I do agree with the above comment in the sense of interventions but, as a birth worker I think I would be honest with them so they know where you’re at, and the other side is they are less likely to intervene with offering pain relief when not needed. I think it’s ok to be honest with your pain.. they can tell by looking at your anyway and you just say no to any interventions and that you are happy to just progress as you are. Please know it’s your sovereign right to birth in your terms 🩷 No one can make you do anything you aren’t comfortable with. Even if they have hospital protocols you don’t need to follow them!
