Lol kind of my thoughts too... except mine happened while babysitting my nephews (5 & 2 at the time) in my sister's brand new house after she and my BIL went away for an overnight for the first time without kids in almost 6 years! While I ran to the bathroom for 5 minutes max (and they were enthralled in a movie that ended too soon), I came out to find two little boys covered in black and red permanent marker cracking themselves up as they "were making a surprise picture for their mom" on my sister's light grey wall & on her light colored wood farm- style dining room table she got THE DAY BEFORE! To add to her special surprise (or shall I say my horror) the 5 yo used both markers to also "put makeup on like mommy does" on his brother's face! Incredibly enough, magic erasers really live up to their name for walls and certain surfaces, like the table....Not so much for the two year old's face with black sharpie above and below his eyes, red sharpie on his lips and cheeks, and black on his earlobes...for earrings, obi! After my initial shock wrote off, I questioned them about where they found the markers. The two year old instantly gave up his brother! Now looking back, it's a funny memory. But, having my sister come home to two little boys with permanent marker on the little ones face and both of their hands... The night before picture day at (pre) school.... She didn't find it funny at all!
