I just love the way you treat and handle your cats! They are so darn cute and your gentleness and appreciation for them is even cuter! Thank you for taking such good of your fur balls. I just love cats to pieces, and lost mine after 18 wonderful years a few months ago. While it still hurts me to think of him, I get comfort from watching cat videos. Our ragdoll Dusty always holds our arm too. She doesn’t like coconut oil (sadly), but she loves the Virbac Poultry flavor toothpaste (she is VERY picky with flavors). You’re smart to start them learning this as kittens. I wish I had done that!

I love how Eevee loved the whole experience with brushing her teeth, she's just adorable and I'm proud of Yoshi even tho he didn't necessarily loved brushing his teeth he now enjoys it especially now that you're using coconut oil instead. Terrific video, starting them young is the key and you have offered a lot of useful information. As for Yoshi I find most male blue Dolls and Birmans can be headstrong but extremely loving. They are both beautiful kitties who are well loved.

I have been researching how to do cat tooth brushing for days! Nothing has been as informative and gentle as this guide was. Thank you so much for posting it! I already know my cats love coconut oil and they adore chewing on just about anything so Im gonna snag the round brush from your recommendation. I especially commend you for the slow, gentle way of teaching them and I appreciate that you thoroughly documented the time it *really* requires so I wont feel discouraged by my progress. 5:55 Especially in the learning stage, make sure to wear something that helps against the claws. Kitchenglove akin sleeves around the arm and long thick trousers. Them nails will leave marks no mistake.

I learned a lot from this that I can use if I ever have another cat (if I get it young enough). Mine did have bad teeth later in life. What some people may not realize is that dental cleaning for cats usually involves anesthesia. In addition to the medical risks, it also adds significantly to the cost. The vet required bloodwork $$$ before doing anesthesia $$$ to make sure the elderly cat was healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. At some point, their age and health will not allow for them to be given anesthesia and vet dental cleanings. Starting them off at home like this is a great idea.

My brown tabby LOVES his toothpaste and lets me brush his teeth. My orange ragdoll absolutely hates it and he gags easily so we're still figuring out what works best for him. Dental care is so important for cats!
