I've lived in east Tennessee my whole life and I rarely go to that area anymore and that was because of the traffic before Buc-ee's. I can't even imagine what it's like now, will be using a different way in to Gatlinburg on the rare occasion we go. The state will have to make some serious changes here and almost need a 2nd exit just for that area. I'm sure they have plans for a lot more commercial development so it will just get worse and worse. Back in the mid to late 80s you could go up to Gatlinburg in the winter and park on the side of the street because the only people there were snow skiers, now it's packed 12 months a year. I really miss the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge from those days. Really glad you guys are okay, that was crazy!!!
