I think the oboe is so underrated. We had a fantastic Oboeist at my university and he got to play a few solo pieces and they made me cry. It's such a beautiful sound.

I had a friend who played the oboe, I loved the sound. She switched from playing the clarinet to the oboe in middle school, we would always have a laugh when she practiced in front of me when learning the oboe because she even admitted she was better at playing her oboe than her clarinet I always wanted to play a instrument but naturally I gravitated more towards singing and dancing but I always wanted to the piano or even the guitar.
