I haven’t heard from/about Nadia in so long, hearing her spoken of in the past tense is kinda jarring. “She was sunshine is human form” is such a heartbreaking phrase. I’m assuming she doesn’t exists in the same way anymore. Didn’t expect to miss a person I have never met, but here we are.

Yeah, she split due to what happened to them in 2020, if I remember correctly. Nadia was the social alter, and a lot of their trauma from that period revolved around betrayal from friends. There might be other things I've forgotten contributing to it. But, she split and became Seer (who kept the role of spiritual protector) and the Wraith. The Wraith stands in Nadia's field, but now it's always night instead of day. Again, if I remember correctly. It's the image I kept from that video about Nadia splitting.
@slinky64152 ай бұрын
@Hayden-rc1ru it truly breaks my heart that because nadia was indigenous, people bullied her for that because she was in a white body. seer now practices specifically european/english spirituality in order to avoid this criticism from others. nadia deserved better, but at least seer can make the most of it :(

When I was in high school (which was like almost 20 yrs ago omg), DID wasn't a thing that was talked about ever, so at 15-16 when I was having tons of blackouts but I would still be doing things, I had no idea what was going on with me. I mean, I had dealt with them before and even lost my entire 2nd grade year but they were happening WAY more often. I had one friend who would "switch" between these characters, looking back I didn't know if she really was or not, doesn't matter, but it made me feel so much more comfortable that I started switching unknowingly in front of her because I was so comfortable around her. If it wasn't for her, I don't think I would have become as aware of my system as I did. I wish I still knew her now so I could tell her how grateful I am for her being there when I didn't know I needed it. Sorry for rambling, this just brought back a lot of memories.

I had it done to me while having a broken rib. I'm usually pretty quiet and non confrontational, but this time I spoke my mind. The person tried to dismiss it instead of saying sorry, I doubled down on him. As far as I recall he never touched me again. Also I was an adult at the time (so was he). Somehow it unlocked a switch in my mind that if I don't want to be touched in a way, I can say so. Even if I am not hurt to begin with. Broke up with a guy who had a similar behaviour thanks to that.

Was I just supposed to ignore all those times you had a weird accent?” My friends definitely noticed the “different behavior around abusers” thing. I was a very different person when I was at school or at a friend’s house than when we hung out at my house. Even if I was on a video call with my friends, I was acting differently. I also never offered to hang out at my house. I think they only came over about four times in all the time we’ve been friends (several years).

Even now as an adult, when my husband (who I live with and love very much and he is very kind and gentle with me and understanding of my trauma) walks around the house or even within the room *that I consciously know he's in with me* I still get SUCH a strong jump scare that I yell loudly, crumple to the floor, and cry/laugh (oscillating between the two) in shock. My heart races so much I worry I'll one day have a heart attack. Sometimes this happens 2-3 times within a 15-minute period. C-PTSD is no joke. (And this is after my husband has made multiple adjustments to try to make his moving around or coming into a room more obvious/not take me by surprise, etc.) So I completely understand so many of the behaviours you and your friend described! Including keeping an eye on the exits, trying not to give any reactions to abusers + abusive people (this is why I taught myself not to be ticklish, show pain/reaction with rib poking, even cry with a completely straight face without tears or sound. ✌(Hi, I'm a robot, I come in peace) 🖖 So ACTUALLY me having such a strong, audible, visible response to being surprised to seeing my husband walking about the house is -- perhaps counterintuitively -- shows how comfortable I am with him and how much I'm healing, because it shows I can exhibit behaviours and emotions and reactions around him. Sending you and your friend so much love and appreciation for taking the time to make this video! Thank you (:

I got her with my elbow several times, since my automatic flinching response was to throw my arms back. I have some coworkers now who startled easily. One in particular is extremely jumpy, you don't even have to try. I've spooked many of them without trying cause I walk super quiet for a tall person. This was def an interesting insight! People used to say I am in my own world a lot, because I used to just stare into nothing for a while, and I would barely remember anything, it can also take an hour or 2 where I am just staring and empty, and sometimes when I walk from point A to point B I would not remember the travel, I would just dissociate. I had a traumatic life, but not to the extent to DID, but it was big trauma. I dissociate when triggered. I am happy today, though, 2 kids and a fiance.

This is such a weirdly emotional video to me. There's something about reminiscing about dark times with someone you've reconnected (or maintained a connection) with that is very bitter-sweet, melancholic but also hopeful for some reason. Remembering the bad stuff, but also the little moments when the sunshine was able to shine through the clouds... The stories about you hanging out outside of school and on the grass patch really touched me. I'm so happy for you! That y'all were able to keep such a good friend from that time. It's important to notice and celebrate the good things in life, the people that make you happy and that really care about you. Cheers DissociaDID! ❤❤❤

I have a question that I've never really seen anyone ask before. Do people have to be in the front or near the front to switch? For example, I remember it being mentioned that there are forests in your inner world. Could you be in the forest and suddenly find yourself back in the body? Any systems in the comments can answer this.

Yes that's possible!

it’s so scary to think about how horrible things could be happening to people right next to us and we would never know or just not notice

What's so cool about this, is that I know it aids in your healing. Being an observer of that feels special, and I thank you for giving us this glimpse into the process. Seeing this video vs. your older ones from years ago is so drastic in appearance, and I am so happy for your system that this has been helpful. Thanks again for sharing, y'all are doing wonderful things with this channel. Lots of love from across the pond ❤

I knew my partner in highschool and we started dating before he found out he has DID. It's so interesting talking to him about highschool because I will bring up a memory or something and he will say "that wasn't me, that was *incert name here" over the past year I have figured out and pieced together a lot of highschool memories and now know who I was with, why he was acting certain ways, ect.

This was truly informative and made me realise how many of those symptoms one of my friend is showing 🥺❤ not in a "He has DID"-way but in a "He has PTSD"-way. As someone who works with children this is truly a treasure trove to know what kind of warning signs to look out for in my little ones. Also, I absolutely LOVE your friend!!! He seems like a genuinely nice person 🥰 Thank you, Mr. NoName for your insight and your respectful way in sharing everything; you were an amazing friend and please do not forget that you were a child back then as well - if teachers (who should know better) did not clock something out, how were you supposed to (especially because the internet back then was not a thing). Soren, this has easily become one of my favourite videos of yours (and I have been around for years)! Thank you for sharing your insight and experience

This was such an interesting video! As a long time viewer (and singlet), it's so interesting to get a perspective on some things you have talked about from someone else. It's also interesting just to see you interacting with other people normally, as most of the videos were obviously just you talking to the camera. I'm glad you had some lovely people who stood up for you.
