I don't think it's all him; I've seen trainers talk about emails from production staff asking for what techniques to use in specific cases with NDAs so the show can take all the credit, unfortunately.

If you go on the show, you don't pay anything. However, for private one on one consultations, of course, you have to pay (can you afford to work for nothing)? He's a dog behaviourist, so consults are not specifically timed.

That is a Staffy/pit grumble/complaint yell, only in a slightly higher register. Am very familiar with it, when I go to do what my dog thinks is cutting his paws off, which is reallly trimming his nails.

My guess is they made him the centre of attention as a puppy. It’s learnt behaviour. Most of these videos show how it’s the owners fault. Ignore him until he is quiet then treat him or give him a fuss. If he gets too excited then tell him ‘NO’ and put him in another room / separate him. He will learn, there’s no such thing as you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. They’re always learning. We could learn a lot from dogs ourselves tbh.

does he get enough exercise. If he has too much energy, he won't settle down. My dad's cousin used to have a golden retriever, but she only took him on short walks, so he was destruction and self harmed. Then my dad stayed with her for a week or so, took him for really long walks every day and then he was as good as gold. Bad behaviour could be their only way of saying something's not right ?
