RIVERS PLANNED PROTEST: CSOs, STUDENTS, AND YOUTH GROUPS AGREE TO SHELVE PROTEST FOLLOWING APPEAL BY GOVERNOR FUBARA
Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has pleaded with organisers of the planned protest against bad governance and hardship in the country to shelve their protest saying that it is coming at a wrong time giving the political situation in the state people are looking for avenues to destabilise the state.
Governor Fubara who on Wednesday met with civil society organisations, student union bodies and various youth groups says his administration is aware of people being paid to come into the state and cause mayhem; warning that if any violence occurs, the people of the state will be the greatest losers.
