Good day for a new veggie boy video. I had to put brakes on my truck today and now I'm hunting and tired. I found out Wednesday that I have cancer in my prostate. I kept wondering why I was having so much pain and now I know. DOC said they have caught it early and they can treat it fairly easy so I hope so. I was really depressed until I saw this new video and it has brighten up my day. Thanks Andrew

Lord Jesus Christ, we beg Thee for the grace to remain guarded beneath the protective mantle of Mary, surrounded by the holy briar from which was taken the Holy Crown of Thorns, and saturated with Thy Precious Blood in the power of the Holy Spirit, with our Guardian Angels, for the greater glory of the Father. I laugh at how you dislike picking peas When I was a kid on the farm growing up green beans was my nemesis The leaves made my arms break out in big welts so I always had to pick in a long sleeve shirt, that sucked big-time ! I bet you can remember when we had to detassle corn. Farmers would put ads in the local paper for detassling time. One year, at my Grandpa's farm, he hired high school kids to detassle, when I was a teenager. These "city kids" showed up in dinky shorts and tank tops. They were hoping to make some money and get a great tan. Needless to say, they got all cut, scratched, welts, buggy, sticky, and itchy. They were miserable. 1 quit at lunch time. The next day, only one kid came back (out of 10). This time, he wore jeans and a button, long-sleeved shirt, and a hat. Oh, those were the days. They were tough sometimes, but I miss them, and my Grandpa, too.

Our first planting of sweet corn, 7 rows about 50’ long was ruined by raccoons. We put the trail cam up and saw a family of 6 visit in one night. They were trapped and moved only to see that many more the next night. After several nights they were trapped and taken to the State Park about 25 miles away. All together 14 are living the good life now and our second planting has been raccoon free.

They have all started allowing their customers to husk their corn right on site so they ALWAYS get perfect ears. Makes for even happier customers. Do you have an empty bin your customers can husk into in your store ? Was thinking how your cattle would probably love those husks.

Andrew, when I was farming, when we would get bear damage in a sweet corn, it would look like a quad had driven through because they pulled the stalks down to their left and right as they walk through, eating them as they went. Then they would find a spot and pull down all the stalks in a circle around them, usually about 8 to 10 ft in diameter and eat all the ears. We would have far more damage from coyotes. To me, that's what the damage in your field looks like. They tend to knock the plant down enough to grab the ear off, bring it a few feet away and eat it. Then they get another and bring it to the same spot. They do this multiple times so they end up with piles like you had. In the long run, no matter what is eating it, all that damage still sucks! When you were trying to decide whether you were loading or unloading straw, you should have just said you were transferring it lol! And I smile every time I see you bringing hands full of grass in to your chickens now. That just shows that you like those chickens, and will go the extra mile to make your viewers happy.
