Well we hadn't stayed in the cottage room at Taj but from pur experience we can say that you won't be disappointed. The staff and their service will make your stay a memorable one. ☺️ And plus the Taj brand is more than enough.

Hello Mam it was beautiful to watch the video . Very informative. I have a question - is Kanchangunga visible form here on a clear sky day ? How do we go to Darjeeling from this hotel and how long it takes and approximate fare of a taxi ?

Thank You for liking the video. And yes it is possible to go to Darjeeling from Taj Chia Kutir. It will approximately take around 2 hours. From Taj you will have to take a reserved car,a small 4 seater car fare will be around 2k-2.5k. A 7 seater car will cost around 3k. Kanchenjunga is quite far from here so i wouldn't say it will be visible but yes the adjoining tea estate in the backdrop of the lush greenhills and the setting sun will definitely be something you remember 😉

And in case you want to view Mt. Kanchenjunga we are soon going yo be uploading a video of our Pelling visit which is the closest to Mt. Kanchenjunga. Pelling is the best place to visit for Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Plus one more thing I missed. Kurseong bazaar is around 4.6 kms (15mins) distance from Taj Chia Kutir. So you even have the option to take shared taxis and it will cost you around ₹200/- per person for Darjeeling. So travelling won't be an issue and with clear skies the view from the resort will be breathtaking. Although Mt. Kanchenjunga is far but with clear skies I think you just might be lucky enough to view it. Hope I have been of help. 😊
