I saw your at Sea vlog and enjoyed it. I'm enjoying this one so far on live music and commenting as I watch it. This is pretty much the most important thing for me on cruising, even over food. As a "Yank," actually a Carribean-Yank, I know that's unusual, but it's the case. I like inside venues. The Rooftop Garden seems like a critical venue on this ship and maybe the nicest in a sense. Eden, the Martini Bar are like stadiums, not to my liking so much and The Club is like a nightclub and good for some forms of entertainment and not for others. Why am I going on about venues? Well, they're part of ambiance. And ambiance on ships can lead to a romantic feeling that sadly, this class of ship has less than others and previous classes of Celebrity ships IMO. I can see where the Rooftop Garden has ambiance of an outdoors, at sea, venue. The variety is crucial. Did you have an a capella group? Jazz and standards? Broadway and show tunes? Country? Classical concerts anywhere maybe piano, string music and such? Any local performers added from any ports The more venues a ship has the more choice and personalized space one can feel and the more ambiance a ship can take on. Where did you dance? There's a dance floor on the Martini Bar and a large one at The Club. I guess deck space has some as well and when there are no shows, I guess Eden has a small dance floor. Theater shows were not Celebrity's strength through the years. They've invested in a state of the art for now theater and more creative theater shows. So, good upgrade. There are mini-versions of them too it seems. Sounds great in terms of most of the shows and singers. Funk show, maybe do Larry Graham, Parliament, Earth Wind and Fire or maybe it's not your thing. Agree with you about live bands. Acrobat pop ups sound like the pop up a capella groups that used to go around singing on Celebrity. I prefer the a capella singers (as they can more engage the passengers). I agree with you on more theatrical shows and hope the premium lines like Celebrity, HAL and Princess will do them. But, NCL is very good at those and Royal Caribbean as they are more entertainment geared than Celebrity. So, pool stuff is noisy and it's not part of what I do. Don't feel I should say anything on that. It's necessary for many cruisers so good to hear it's satisfying. I do not like the activities in the Martini Bar as I grew up with Celebrity transforming the Martini Bar from a place in an ultra-elegant lounge, to a small intimate elegant venue to an enclave/club like area that again was elegant to this more hotel-like space with a chandelier show on this class of ship (the bartender shows began outside of the bar on the Millennium class ships and were different). It's a busy, too busy, too noisy area for a ship like Celebrity too often and basically, since this ship lacks a Sky Lounge, a lot of the activities done there were split between the Martini Bar and the Club and sometimes Eden. Though Celebrity has been doing foyer entertainment recently, the foyer is usually pretty quiet. This ship has a more active "plaza." Latin Fever on the Rooftop. What if it rains? What if it is in a colder climate? Still, maybe the nicest place to have it. Karaoke sounds weak and now the Ascent offers a space to rent for it. You can rent a space up to 35 or so people for private karaoke. I did karaoke on the Constellation in a huge lounge (one that has been changed on the ship and was right above the Rendezvous), a spot that there is no equivalent for on the larger Edge ships. You didn't seem to use Crafts Social so I guess nothing of significance went on in there. And it isn't a very large space. There is another category I seek and I call it romantic ambiance entertainment. I don't see any of it on this ship. Maybe it's possible on the Rooftop Garden. Any romantic bars or places onboard indoors? I know my comment is long but that's my style. This is one of my favorite lines but I'm more a Century class lover (long sold ships but were magnificent) and very much like the Solstice class. I kind of like the product here but the ship needs more social areas for mingling and dancing and creating ambiance without relying on deck areas that are subject to weather, IMO. I'm also not a fan of its decor as much as others but that's another topic. Your review is just terrific and informative and entertainment and full of personality. It's was a pleasure to watch.

Absolutely loving your passion for the venues! Sounds like you share our love for a good atmosphere and seriously, there is nothing like live music. Actually, this is something that we absolutely loved in the theatre. On other cruise lines backing tracks were used and that is not the same! Knowing that you’re not really into the pool etc..I kind of understand why Edge might not be your favourite! 😂 Although that’s kind of what we love about ship diversity! Each one appeals to different people for different reasons. It would be very boring if they were all the same 😂 there are definitely ships people rave about where we really disagree!
