Thank you for sharing your story and your honesty in the grieving process. It can be such a rollercoaster. I admire your honesty so much. I know this was years ago but sending love to you and your family.

Aww so sad 😭 , but I’m glad you shared this. Our son who was almost 4, passed away years ago and it is such a life altering event-you are never the same person again. But God IS so good and has brought light out of our darkness in ways we could never imagine. It is amazing how sometimes we fear visiting our sad emotions, but then at times, it is exactly what is needed to help set us free.

You are amazing! I am a teenager, I am not married and haven't had a baby but I know how hard that must have been for you. ❤️ But it is SO amazing that the mom got to keep her baby! I just found this video in my feed and I'm SO glad I clicked on it!

It really is so good that this little guy got to stay with his birth mom! I still think and pray for him often! He is 4 now! It’s hard to believe!

Even if an infant is adopted at birth they still experience trauma. I highly encourage anyone looking into adoption of any kind to read The Primal Wound by Nancy Verrier. So so important.

Okay, to start off without being creepy since my name isn't associated with my account, this is Amanda H, I was one of your oldest sister's friends when we were all in high school. It's great to hear the good news! I just want to offer you a huge hug. It's so hard to deal with infertility and you do it so gracefully. (I did not deal nearly that well when going through treatments to get and stay pregnant! Heck, I'm trying for baby #2/pregnancy #6 right now and I'm a neurotic mess, lol.) A failed adoption on top of that is just heartbreaking, and again you're so incredible about this. Going through that tote took serious strength. Though I'm glad the family didn't have to be separated, if they had to have been I know your family would have been a wonderful place for that baby. Happy holidays to your beautiful family.

Im so sorry for you loss! It’s totally a loss. I have had 4 failed adoptions, yes four! So sad. But I still feel confident hope that it will happen. God has put adoption on our hearts for a reason and I am so excited for our YES. I let myself be sad for a while but then give those babies or toddlers back to the Lord. I loved this video. You are such a darling. It’s okay to have really wanted that baby. Maybe God is growing that desire in your heart for a reason Mama 😘

It feels very much like a miscarriage. We were matched to a little girl named Mei in China and then a couple days later another family posted in our China Facebook group that they were excited to bring home this little girl and it was a picture of her. 😞 I was crushed and super mad at our agency for double matching her. Now we’ve been matched and are hoping to adopt from foster care!

It would be just like a misscarriage, you are right. You prepare for a baby, and are as ready as you could be, excited and nervous all in one and then bam... Loss. Loss can come in many forms but it all hurts your heart. Bless you guys for being such wonderful parents! I love that about you guys. I hope you feel better and better- and one day see that baby grown and his mom fully healed and following Jesus- and you will be so happy! I know you are happy for them already I'm sure, but it would make it all easier maybe in a sense♥️ I'm sorry for your loss. I felt your pain through your positivity, remember God has a reason for everything. I had miscarriages/loss myself and it is truly a morning that you have to get through that never fully goes away, but eventually we will see Gods plan! Thank you for sharing!

it’s not like a miscarriage. with a miscarriage, that baby has been within you, your body has had the responsibility of bringing it life, making it into a HUMAN, and when you lose that through miscarriage you feel as though you are to blame, that you did something wrong, that you failed this child you were supposed to bring into this world because it DIED. you, the mother, feel like you were the ONE person responsible for keeping that baby alive and you feel like you FAILED them by not being able to bring them to life

We just found out that our baby’s birth mom was faking a second pregnancy she sent us videos of something stuffed under her shirt, she had told us it was a boy, faked having preeclampsia.. Things were not adding up so I called the Warden(she is in prison) and the Warden confirmed she was faking the whole thing.. I also am grieving the loss of a child, one that didn’t even exist.. we were all ready we purchased everything and his diaper bag was packed.. We are praying God blesses us with a sibling for our adopted baby girl she is 17 months.. we hv 5 older children ages 23, 22, 20, 20, and almost 19.. We were foster parents, we aren’t sure which direction to go for adopting again

It's still a loss and it is trauma because, it was a sad experience or bad experience however you want to put it. So you should be able to grieve and not feel guilty because of it. I am glad to hear that you are healing from this situation though. I also think it's wonderful that you to take on older kids as adoptive placements. Have you ever thought about looking into International Adoption where you could get a toddler. To me a toddler's like a walking talking baby. A toddler is what you classify is between 18 months to 4 years old. I don't know if you guys meant older kids like school age an older or if you meant toddler and over.
