my parents were not happy with my husband either and they didn't support us as a couple for a while. i didn't even have a wedding celebration, no cake, no dress no nothing. just signed the papers and that was it. it used to make me sad in the beginning but now I realize that its not the wedding day that matters it the person your married to that matters. In all these yrs Ive been married Ive seen people who had lavish weddings get divorced and we are still going strong. Im not gonna lie that I dont think about it when I see others weddings but I remind myself that marriage is about a relationship between 2 people and the actual day doesn't matter that much. its mostly hype and easy to get sucked up in it. so cheer up sweety.
