These three historical stories you shared about these men and the power of the Rosary was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. It would be interesting to know if the Rosary had the same impact on any woman in history. I know the Rosary has given me great comfort in times of sadness and even fear, such as during thunderstorms that have been frightening. Mary is a wonderful role model for me. Thank you 🌻

Hi, Catherine- yes! The rosary has also changed the lives of women. One that comes to mind is Sr. Lucia Dos, who was one of the children at Fatima. She could not even read or write at the time of the apparitions, but the Blessed Mother instructed her to learn so that she could promote the rosary. Sr. Lucia went from being an unknown peasant/shepherdess to a Carmelite nun who met with people from all over the world, including the Pope! I am sure she never, in her wildest dreams, would have thought her life would turn out that way... all through the power of the rosary.

The first time I heard of the Holy Rosary was from my mom and she told me that praying the Holy rosary is a essential part of connecting towards God. I at first didn’t believe it and was skeptical about the devotion but after receiving a rosary for my confirmation and watching the rosary on EWTN, I became very connected and captivated by the mysteries. Joyful, Luminous, sorrowful and glorious and realized how powerful and useful the rosary can be. And as for what I add to my rosary prayer list. Well I start with myself and for my health and protection and my family members and for a friend of mine who suffers from Crohn’s disease. And I ask the Blessed Mother Mary to have her son Jesus Christ to miraculously heal him. And as for when I pray the rosary. Well it depends either in the morning or in the evening.

God does not want us to pray prefabricated prayers or in repetitiousness. He wants us to communicate with Him straight from our hearts, like how we communicate with each other. Would you like it if your loved ones only spoke to you with repeated statements?
@catholicmomanddaughter4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Susie- I agree that only using formal prayer and never speaking to God from our hearts would not be ideal. However, there are many ways to pray. Jesus himself did give us the beautiful, prefabricated prayer the Our Father (recorded in the gospels of both Luke and Mark.) Also, I never tire of hearing my family or friends repeating "I love you" or "thank you" or other such standard phrases. The rosary is a beautiful prayer that encourages us to reflect on all the events of Jesus's life, from the annunciation of his birth by the angel Gabriel to his ascension into heaven after the resurrection. I would happy to get you some more information about it so you can have a better understanding of what the rosary really is.

@@catholicmomanddaughter I agree the Rosary is a beautiful prayer, and the more I repeat it, the more meaningful the words become - Mary is full of Grace, the Lord is with her, she is blessed among all woman, as is her son Jesus - and how wonderful she prayers for me a sinner (who worries rather than trusts, who thinks angry thoughts of others who I have allowed to upset me rather than ‘forgive them Lord for they truly don’t know how much they hurt me’). She is an example to us all. She loves us, builds us up and wants us to follow her son Jesus. I’ve only come across your vlog today 8 January 2021 and with the world being as it is I appreciate the content of your vlogs I’ve watched so far - thank you 📖⛪️🙏

Sister , why do you need 2 worry about Rosary if you are not interested in it. The faith you are in is not strong that's why you visited this video(if that faith was enough you would have engaged just in your way of praying ) . Catholic people I believe they are gods chosen, because he gave them her Mother , confession etc. Thru Rosary lot of miracles happening daily. Continuously repeating words gets into subconscious mind if you are saying it with faith. Try Rosary for 3 days with faith see results by yourself , I don't know whether your problems will be solved but you will experience peace for sure.

I found it very disturbing that neither of you mentioned Christ throughout your whole video ...He is our saviour, not Mary !! The rosary does not provide salvation.
@catholicmomanddaughter4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Louisa- you are so right: the rosary in and of itself does not provide salvation; only Jesus does that. However, the rosary itself is a beautiful meditation on the life of Christ. Each mystery of the rosary focuses on an event in the life of Christ; there is no way to pray the rosary without Jesus. We would be happy to send you some information to help you understand the rosary better. Here is a good link to help get you started: www.catholic.com/tract/the-rosary. We would be glad to answer any other questions you have :)

@@catholicmomanddaughter Thank you so much for answering and for showing such calm in your reply but I have a very fruitful and close relationship with Christ by going to Him directly, without going via any saints but thank you for offering.I watched your video because I was interested in hearing how praying the rosary could be any different to just going to Jesus.I can honestly say that it doesnt sit right with me at all and I do feel that Mary is an idol in the Catholic faith.
