As a pretty big country fan I’d say some of the best albums to really get into country would have to be: Traveler: by Chris Stapleton American Heartbreak: by Zach Bryan Hell Paso: Koe wetzel A lot about loving ( and a little bout love) Alan Jackson These are just to name a few that could really help you get into the genre and enjoy your listening!

It is currently the 5th biggest Country song in the US. Heck anything by him is good Country. Some other good Country suggestions is anything by Zach Bryan, anything by Kacey Musgraves (but not her last album), anything by Luke Combs, In Your Love by Tyler Childers, Brett Eldrege''s last 2 (extremely) underrated albums, Jason Isbel's Weathervanes, Shania Twain's 90's and early 2010's material.

Country is not my favorite genre, but it is very underrated in these sorts of online hip hop circles. Check out these artists. . Colter Wall . Tyler childers . Lost dog street band These are my favorite country artists, all very creative and artistic. Crazy how a lot of country is influenced by folk music, which it shares with other generes in pop and rock (bon iver, led zepplin / greta van fleet, ect). And modern country/rock/ pop and even hip hop, influence each other all the time and its really satisfying when you see it for yourself. I very strongly recommend anyone branch out genre wise no matter what your into because YOU WILL be surprised with what you find But that's just my opinion as a fan of music 😁

Also, another artist that isn’t necessarily r&b but has r&b influences is Rod Wave which he’s made it through in a big way since he’s come out in the late 2010s. Favorite pop artist is Michael Jackson and off course he’s done other genres. Favorite country artist is Morgan Wallen. Favorite rock band is Queen. Favorite Spanish artist is Anuel AA. Favorite rappers are 2pac, OutKast, Eminem, Lauren Hill, and Kendrick Lamar. Thumbs up if you agree with my takes.

Country is overhated, but admittedly it can “prove the stereotypes right” in a sense. Not any different than like the way people refer to mumble rap though. If you were to genuinely listen and take it in with an open mind, there’s much to be appreciated in any genre. Johnny Cash is really good choice cause the man had quite the career and an amazing talent for songwriting/storytelling. But if you’re looking for something new, Zach Bryan is a pretty good choice. Morgan Wallen (unless he’s still cancelled lol), and Luke Combs is actually incredible. Kane Brown is also really really good. I personally enjoyed most of these artists albums. And honestly they’re all pretty mainstream. Brace yourself if you don’t like country though 😂😂

Country is a seemingly deceptive genre see you on the surface. A lot of people think it's all the same, but there are a lot of sub genres and different scenes and different eras in country music that all have their own distinctive sound, but it is not one of those genres like a jazz where it's hard to find a jumping on point for a newcomer. That being said, here's about 10 songs to give a shot I was wrong by Chris Stapleton The high cost of living by Jamie Johnson You look like the devil by Willie Nelson Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson Feathered Indians by Tyler Childers Honky tonk heroes by Waylon Jennings Sunday morning coming down by Kris Kristofferson You can have the crown by sturgill Simpson Mexican pipe dream by John Prine Oceanfront property by George strait All of these have memorable stories, and really show off the different sounds and eras of country music whether it's 90s neo, traditional pop, country or 2010's independent country, as well as classic outlaw country, and even the more folk leaning stuff it's a beautiful genre full of amazing albums and songs. If you want to dig further, you can literally pick a album from any one of those artists and you'll probably find something you enjoy

My picks, swapped out jazz for classical since I don't really know a jazz song off the top of my head but I know a classical one. Also added folk and indie because those are 2 of my fav genres, maybe you could fit them into rock, but that's boring. Rap: Lupe Fiasco - Mural (I was debating on this for a while and I think I have to go with Lupe here. Every time I listen to Mural I catch something new and it's just a fun song overall. Honestly, the more I listen to Lupe in general, the more I'm convinced he's the greatest rapper of all time. Maybe he's inconsistent on his projects and has plenty of skips, but based on his abilities overall, it's clear to me. HM is Kanye West - Everything I Am) Pop: Ellie Goulding - Lights (might be the most underrated banger of all time) R&B: Usher - Confessions Pt. 2 (Usher was my shit back in the day, HM to So Sick by Ne-Yo) Rock: Wolfmother - Mind's Eye (this is a tough one with a lot of good options, but I'm going with a nostalgic pick for me, one of my favorite bands from middle school/high school. Kind of like a neo-classic rock type vibe a la something like Greta Van Fleet but not as cringe imo) Electronic: C418 - Sweden (Minecraft really captured a certain vibe when I first played it, and listening to this song in particular is so beautiful. I cannot help but feel calmed while listening to it) Country: Bonnie Raitt/John Prine - Angel From Montgomery (HM to Always On My Mind the Willie Nelson version) Reggae: Matisyahu - King Without a Crown (I remember this playing on MTV back in the mid 2000s and have loved it and a lot of Matisyahu's old work since) Classical: Erik Satie - Gymnopedie 1 (You can really hear how much it influenced the Minecraft soundtrack, which I hold pretty dear) Soul: Curtis Mayfield - Little Child Runnin Wild (beautiful song, one of my dad's favorites and he always played it in the car when I was young so it reminds me of him) Folk: Deer Tick - Ashamed (God I wish it was longer, it's such a beautiful song. HM to Bob Dylan - Mr. Tambourine Man, some of the best imagery put to song) Indie: Two Gallants - The Prodigal Son (my favorite song, it's pure poetry. HM is The Oil Slick by Frightened Rabbit, my favorite band)

Well on the pop angle, there is pop as anything that is popular, top 40. but pop is a genre, poppy beats. nsync, madonna michael jackson, katy perry etc. britney spears. So my fav pop song, don't stop till you get enough/beat it. fav hip hop song between stan and in da club, fav rnb, would be promise and bryan mcknight. fav rock song is dont stop believing, fav raggae would be murder she wrote and my fav soul, would be reasons by earth wind and fire.

MJ actually wrote and produced Don't Stop till you get enough by himself, besides the bridge part.

Definitely recommend At Folsom prison by Johnny Cash. Some of his best songs all put together in a totally unique live setting, and it was the first country album I listened to on my own time

I'd recommend getting deeper into metal if you haven't. It's my second favourite genre after rap. I think Hallowed Be Thy Name is the best song.

I'm not super into Country either but listen to Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You by Big Thief. It's a long album that spans a lot of different genres but really is incredibly consistent and well-written.

Big Thief is more folk than country though
@Aryeh48710 ай бұрын
@Tooms100 I agree. It's classified as country on several sites but it's a good taste of the genre for people less familiar.
