Just booked our first cruise on Royal's Anthem of the seas. Love the fact that you include how to get on the ship, in cues and getting around the ship. That's really helpful to get an idea of what to expect. You give me my Disney fix and now big hopes for planned cruise!

Unsure about the loft rooms, but I can say the price tag is worth it if you’re star class. We did 2bdr aquatheater suite in august 2022 and it was the best vacation we’ve ever had. Royal takes it up 1000 notches with the royal genie service. You’ll never go without a drink, premium seats at shows, or snacks from specialty dining. If you want to splurge it’s so worth it.

I’ve been on that ship and I loved it too. The comedy show was awesome and don’t miss the “secret” walk to the captain view area in front. It’s a great great view of the sea but also in to the bridge. And if you haven’t done an all access pass to see the guts and how everything works and happens on the ship, do it! It’s great! One more thing, when we were watching the water show on the boardwalk my husband pointed out that they dive and jump from a moving ship and when in air they are not moving w the ship. So scary and fun! Immensely talented. Have fun. I’m swimming in jealously right now. 🥰 and the rocking sounds like a ballast issue maybe. I never felt it move at all. Ever.

Loved Oasis when we went. Our cabin was just down the hall from where the pool tables were located, so we spent alot of time there with the kids playing pool.

I've stayed in the Crown Loft suites 3 different times on Oasis Class Ships... they are worth every penny. They aren't cheap though. But, when you factor in all of the extra VIP perks you get by staying in a suite, it makes it worth it. You hardly ever wait in a line when you are a suite owner. Priority embark and debark. Priority my time dining in the MDR. Coastal Kitchen. Concierge Lounge (Free drinks during happy hour). VIP Seating at all of the shows. I highly recommend it. We are sailing on the Harmony in April and have another Crown Loft reserved.

a 13 year ship is not old , when i started to cruise 35 years ago (i’m 58)the ships average age was around 25 - 35 years and we have a lot of fun ! btw : i think the motion of the ship is probably the location of your cabin .

So what happened at the beginning of covid in 2020 was the cruise ships needed to find assets so they sold or scrapped the oldest ships in their fleets. So by modern standards, a 13yo ship is actually getting up there in age. But I agree with you, as someone who used to sail on Premier cruise line (big red boat), all of their ships have been turned into a reef or scrapped haha.

Regarding the 'movement' of the ship: I've heard that wind can cause big ships to be blown around in odd ways . . . or maybe the underwater 'stabilization wings' weren't working correctly? In any case, you guys are having some good fun on board. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lora!! 😊

A ship that size is more susceptible to swell vs short length waves, could be a problem with the stabilizers too. Wait until you do a late season trans Atlantic. Remember, you can bring two bottles of wine per room on Royal.
