Some people only get to go once a year, but I think the reason why it's so emotional is because when NO ONE can go it takes on a totally different meaning. No children can experience it, no adults can relive their childhood memories. You hurt inside because while you miss going on your own trips, you know that no one is able to create new memories or even first-time memories. Welcome home.

My darlings! You hadn’t been to Disneyland in 400+ days I haven’t been in Disneyland in 31 years!! Thank you so much for taking me back! You Cried? I couldn’t stop crying all video! Someday I’ll be back! Thank you so much! And by the way, that castle...is my Castle! It has been my castle for 53 years! I made it in cross stitch I absolutely love it. Let us never again take for granted the simple joys we gave up to protect each other. Vacations, celebrations, dinners with friends, and simple shopping trips. As we slowly make our ways back to "normal" take the time to appreciate the big and small things we missed. Try to cherish them. And, eventually, try to appreciate that it all feels normal again. I think we can breathe again.

I’m so heart broken. Next week is my 21st birthday, and I always said when I turn 21, I wanted to go to Disneyland, and obviously Bc of what happened recently, I can’t. And I cried a lot when I realized I couldn’t. I’d give anything just to stand there and be in Walt’s original MK. You guys don’t know how lucky you are to literally be there ANYTIME. hopefully some day I’ll be able to say I stood where Walt Disney did.

This was pure magic! I’m watching this in January 2023 and the joy you exude is exactly how I feel every time I enter Disneyland. We live in Canada and haven’t been down since 2018. Thank you for this absolute bundle of joy. I encourage everyone who may have any sort of frustration with the current state of the parks to watch this. It’s a beautiful reminder of how much the parks mean to us. I hope to return one day soon.

I never got to go to Disneyland when I was out in California in 1999. We went to Universal Studios and Six Flags Magic Mountain. I've been to Disney World 5 times. Even though I've never been to Disneyland, my heart is so full of joy for y'all. I was crying along with you seeing the emotions that hit you. It's a great thing when you've not been to your favorite park in a long time and then you get back in there. I cried every time I went to Disney World. I was a complete mess watching this....full on ugly cry, need a box of tissues. Everything, from your reactions and the cast members enthusiasm to seeing LIFE inside the park, the sounds, the attractions coming to life. Truly NOTHING can stop Disneyland, Walt's dream, from surviving a 400+ day closure. I cannot wait to see opening day!!! When the horn blew on the "big boat" as my son calls it I lost it....my son LOVES being on the Mark Twain. I want to take him again SO badly. Seeing all of this unfold...it's so emotional. Marks the ending of a very trying, very challenging and super sad year. Disneyland, the OG, is the most iconic marker of happiness and hope and it's opening literally breaths life into this very tired momma's soul. I am watching this on the day my son went back to in person school. Things are feeling less heavy and joy and warmth are coming through a very dark curtain that has been drawn over my soul this past year. I'm so grateful you shared your experience with us...it can't be easy to juggle documenting it all and also be in the moment for yourselves.
