Back in London, after 10 years.. i miss you already London.
We head to London from Leeds on a 2 hour train ride with Virgin trains, and it's a short walk to the Generator hostel.
I only booked it because it was cheaper than booking the flight only, my intention was to save some money on the package and book a hotel.. however, Daniel was excited about his first hostel experience.
we then walked from Russel square to Edgeware rd, for some awesome food, then shopping at Selfridges, down to oxford circus, down Regents street, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, then back up to Russell square for a little night time partying at the Generator hostel.

That ratio really is on point- gotta love the thin bread that allows all the ingredients to shine

I loved it. I visited in 2010 was there first time outside the US of A. And since I'm into electrics I especially loved it. I just enjoy the sheer experience of hooking up to an adapter to use an overseas electrical mains and it was drafty so I had to have the heating pad and God looked out for me because the 10 bed room had only one duplex receptacle, at least that I could see, and I was given the bunk right there in front of it. But now with smartphones and everything everything else, out of curiosity, have they added more receptacles? My second holiday was in Iceland and they were very accommodating where I stayed on that trip and I asked to be placed convenient to a socket and last year in Bangkok it was no issue because every bunk was a private cubby with its own socket and light fitting, and fan. Pardon me so you see how I am with electrics I collect adapters

Jamesyboy Experiment small world ^^ I think D enjoyed it way more than I did.. I've stayed in hostels before.. (when I was younger too) so it wasn't a novelty experience for me.. more like regurgitated suppressed memories lol!

Touring Tastebuds I'm glad D got his hostel experience in.. I'm pretty certain that's not going to happen again anytime soon.. ^^ i honestly just booked it because it was cheaper to book hotel and flight than it was to book flight only.. but Daniel somehow convinced me lol! It was ok.. just the shower situation for me not so good :(

haha Katee and I are always running for a train, plane, or bus and last minute to everything! We have never stayed in a hostel, but I think it would be a ton of fun with a few people. Some of them are only like 8 bucks a night, I couldn't believe it! You guys look like you are having a blast. Your roomies were already sleeping at ten? Bummer! haha
@nazfromqueens
@nazfromqueens 6 жыл бұрын
Jimmy & Katee Lol. Ten is a bit early even for us...hostels are nice options to have but I would stay in one again but Naz would think twice about it.

I agree with Naz! I wouldn’t want to visit Sherlock’s home if I’m visiting lol Food looks good! I’ve never stayed at a hostel before.... I don’t think I can ever do that. I need my own bathroom. It has a very collage dormitory feel. I can see why all the youngsters like it.

I'm still not sure how Daniel managed to convince me .. but now that he got his hostel experience in, we wont have to do that again.. the womens bathroom had four showers while the mens had 8??.. also more toilets too!!

The food looks amazing, the hostel looks cool, but I don't think I would be comfortable sharing with roommates, the good thing of that hostel is the bar and lounge

Manny Explores Vlog Yes. It was like 37 dollars per night lol. But we could not stay there more than 3 or 4 nights. Too noisy and crowded. P.S. caught a bit of your live feed. That was tight!! Hope you do more soon!

That train was not very busy! We traveled by train through England and Scotland in December and there wasn't even standing room. There was no way to move around to even get to the bathroom. I have never stayed in a Hostel. I am not a fan of shared bathrooms.
