The Adventure is out there you tube channel had the same opinion of the pizza as you did. Sorry visit wasn't as smooth as it could be. Loved my visit to Dollywood in December 2019. It was much warmer and all rides were open.

Smoky Mountain Christmas has been on our holiday bucket list for some time now! As fantastic as the live entertainment is during the summer season, this video proves my longstanding theory that it only gets better during the holidays. The train whistling the tune of ‘Jingle Bells’ was Disney Cruise line tier magic haha and the Candlelight Carolers were fantastic! Sorry to see that you guys had such a hard time finding food, and especially sorry to hear that you missed out on the Christmas buffet. I guess the good news is that, as passholders, this will probably not be your last Christmas in Dollywood - so you just have that much more to look forward to on the next visit 😉 Great video, Jackie! Dollywood was the #1 place to visit on my bucket list and my sister just moved to knoxville so I flew up to TN. We went last Tues and it was FREEZING! I've never been so cold in all my life 🥶 Yes the lines for the 3 inside sit down restaurants and the shows were very long but they had a number of bus loads of seniors enter the park in the morning when we got there and they headed straight to the shows and anyplace warm. We decided to wait until late afternoon to see the show that you saw and also hear dolly's neice Heidi perform and by waiting we got right into both of them. I was a bit disappointed but for me it was just too cold to really enjoy everything. I will definately go again when it's warmer 😊 I can't wait to get back to sunny, warm Fl 🌴🌞 Unlike Elsa the cold bothers me..a lot! 😄☃️

My husband and I went to Dollywood in early November for the first time and fell in love!! We absolutely loved the Smoky Mountain Christmas festival, but had nothing to compare it to. I'm very sorry you had such a rough time at Dollywood. The last time Kay and I were there we had to leave the park to eat. Just like you the lines were sooooo long that we didn't do it either. We went to the Woodfire grill buffet and it's amazing. The Sunliner is a 50's cafe who's menu is a newspaper, and Mama's Farm house is also an excellen buffet where ghe bring the food to your table. Hope you guys have a better time but as always this video was excellent. Thank you and Sam for all your work on your content. It certainly shows and boyh of you are the best content creators on KZbin in my humble opinion.

Jackie, so glad you ended up being able to get some of the Cinnamon Bread! It would’ve been very sad if you couldn’t get some, it always looks so delicious! When I was a kid my Dad used to take us up to a little town in the mountains that had a small, family run bakery. They made the most delicious Pull-Apart Cinnamon Bread! We always got two loaves, one we’d eat there at the bakery and one to take home. Later, my Dad built a cabin at a lower elevation, and we’d frequently drive up to the little town by the lake and get that Pull-Apart Cinnamon Bread. Such great memories! Fall is our favorite time in Pigeon Forge! But we had an unfortunate day at Dollywood last fall on a very crowded day. Similar issues with the food like you all had, it was SO overcrowded and the staff were unfriendly. We thought maybe just overwhelmed with the crowd. It's still such a beautiful park in the Fall! We just got back from Pigeon Forge / Gaitlinburg, Tennessee the week of Thanksgiving. We went to several dinner shows and The Island. Pigeon Forge was an amusement park all by itself. Everyone was everywhere and busy. The Island was great we rode the Ferris Wheel and watched the fountain show and had some moonshine / wine moonshine. We left on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it snowed the next day! We were in a cabin on mountain in Sevierville Tennessee. We would have been stuck! DONT GET SNOW STUCK ! 🙌 TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDD! 🙌

Our trip last christmas was a mess, no fault of the park! Our kids caught a stomach bug that was going around their school but we didn't realize it until we got to Dollywood. Needless to say, we made the five hour trip home in record time! The Heartsong staff was fantastic.. Our next trip was much better! I also saw Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were there!!! So fun!

Hi, I'm a bit behind on watching. Love seeing y'all enjoy Dollywood at Christmas time. It is beautiful and the train ride is awsome. Love show, songs and views. Too bad that they need to figure out a better food situation for people on busy times. I read on Google that Dollywood is so popular that there has been people waiting outside of the park trying to get inside, after it's already so full of guests. Crazy. Anyway, y'all kept your enthusiasm and that makes it fun. Hope the next time y'all go at Christmas time, it will be a bit better food options available. I want go in Christmas time in future, so far we only been a couple of times in the summer, even though we loved it there, we vacationed mostly at beaches. I have been to Dollywood a lot. We had season pass last year. We just didn’t renew this year. I like all of the seasons. I have been there on passholder days and seen Dolly. We were at Disney when you and Sam were at Dollywood. Try Big Daddy Pizzeria next time. It is one of our favorite restaurants.

If you ever have a problem getting the Cinnamon Bread in the park, her hotels also carry it without the long lines.

As pretty as Christmas is, I love the fall/pumpkin luminights. I live an hour and a half from PF and used to vacation during December but the last couple of years I've done a stay at Universal Orlando for the holidays. I just got back home last night from another great trip. If you're ever needing some great ice cream, try Cruze Farms across from the Tanger Outlets.

Hi Jackie, you’ve really sparked our interest in visiting Dollywood. When would you recommend seniors ( non rollar coaster people) visit the beauty of Dollywood ? We’ve never been to Pigeon Forge. Fall or Christmas? When are crowds lowest? How much time would you budget for the area?

We see soooooo many seniors every time we are at Dollywood, and honestly families and people of all ages. I think for a lot of folks, the coasters aren't the main attraction, it's more the atmosphere, the shows, shopping, food, and all the different things to see and do. I'd recommend it for anyone! As far as crowds, I have no idea really! We have been once per season since 2022, and it is different every single time! If you've seen my past Dollywood vids, you'll see we've been when it's empty, and slammed, and everywhere in between! I think it's more day of the week than season, like weekdays are almost always more quiet, except during holidays. Fall is still my favorite for how much extra they do to the parks.

We’re going the beginning of November. I would suggest giving it another shot and going more towards the beginning of the festival before most people are thinking about Christmas, if you can work it into your schedule.

Big L for the food situation. The train there is so majestic, especially with the whistleblowing. The twinkling Northern Lights were pretty. The sparkly butterflies and the pink Christmas tree for the win. We've only been there once and not during a festival. Not sure if it was a mic issue or not, but there were parts of the video where it was somewhat difficult to hear both of you.

Yea totally! We got it at the hotel during our stay at DreamMore Resort and I showed it then. It’s best and freshest from the Grist Mill tho!! 😋

We are going this winter, during the first week in January. We have been passholders for years but never done Christmas there. Hopefully, it’s not too crowded. We are staying at Inn at Christmas Place, I wanted it to be really special. I don’t think we will be renewing our passes next season, because it has just gotten way too crowded, especially this past spring/summer, and they don’t even offer fast-passes for the only children’s rides that my daughter will ride (despite there always being hours long lines for those too).

Ran into the same issue with my wife. We wanted some cider and they ran out everywhere in the park. At one booth they charged me, then halfway through the line ran out of cider again. I went to customer service and the manager refunded me but I lost my last tasting pass food option. 😢 Definitely not a unique experience

This year Christmas at Dollywood is super disappointing it has NEVER been this way but with the construction where the big tree usually is and several rides closed along with the lack of food it just makes for a bad combination 😢
