@@adventureanglingpnw1821 They have deep pockets and support WFC... I wont get into it too much on here but they're part of the reason why our runs have been declining.
@ChandlerNoll3 жыл бұрын
@@adventureanglingpnw1821 Don't get me wrong, I love our wild fish and would be devastated to see them go extinct. We can have hatchery fish too tho, its called broodstocking. Check out my Olympic Peninsula video or the Addicts 100 steelhead hooked in a day video (same river and we were actually there the same day just different sections haha) and you'll see how effective a good broodstock program is. It keeps the native genes in the river while helping produce more fish. WFC cant seem to understand that tho so them and WDFW have been going back and forth for years now while simultaneously destroying our runs.

Bark beetles and Emerald Ash Borers came through here about ten years ago and killed lots of trees. Many ended up in the rivers. Makes for good habitat but hard to fish. It's too bad you guys didn't catch a big brown. That river has produced 3 world record browns in the last 50yrs. The last one still holds the record.

I run 10lb more than anything else anymore. 8lb when it gets clear here. Only time I go lighter than that is the occasional OH trip with clear water and pressured fish.
