I lived in Tokyo off on for about three years, and while I was there I had a chance to travel around the region. Bangkok is one of my favorite cities. It’s modern and exciting in a very interesting way… The Thai people are wonderful, the food is great, and the prices on everything are amazingly reasonable compared to a city like Los Angeles, where I live. I enjoy the way you approach each new place you visit… I can feel your enthusiasm. Your videos are tremendous fun. I look forward to sharing more adventures with you.

@@Joelfriend Japan is a remarkable country with an amazing culture, traditions, wonderful food, friendly people…and Tokyo is my favorite city in the world… Though I must admit I also love London. But if I couldn’t live in America I would definitely want to go back to Tokyo. You guys should definitely plan to spend some time in Japan. It’s more expensive than some of the places you visit, but north to south, east to west it’s breathtaking.

The noodle is called the boat noodle because they used to sell this dish on the boat in the past. The thick broth is mixed with herbs, spices, and pig blood. You can order the clear one if you're afraid of the pig blood.

Are you guys staying in Soi 12? Don't miss the snack stalls from Soi 12 to Soi 8 in the morning. They have nice varities of foods like sausage and egg crepes, moo ping(Pork roast skewer stick) and meals packaged in plastic boxes, usually containing 1 main food with rice. I guarantee they are so good. : ) Cheap but fresh and tasty because their main customers are local morning commuters.

That noodle soup is called Kuaitiao nam tok. There're raw beef's blood or pig's blood in soup .People usually add some sugar , fish sauce, vinegar or chilli to give more flavor.

It's very surprising and delighting to see you guys try Namtok or Boat Noodles. I'm a Tour Guide myself yet I always have a hard time convincing my clients to try this delicious noodle since I have to tell them that pork blood is the main ingredient in the soup. It's good that other tourists will come and see your video and see that Boat noodles don't taste as bad (or as eeeeewwww as) as they might have thought. Please visit Siamparagon area and you can walk at Siamsqure and Siam centre, Siam discovery and Thailand art gallery and you can skywalk into MBK shopping mall too. I love energy in that area

Try Chatuchak weekend market, rooftop restaurants (Hangover 3 rooftop restaurant scene - amazing!), MBK mall (cheap like Platinum mall), floating markets, Temples (check rules before heading out of the hotel cause I think long pants are needed), Royal Palace. There's so much more!! I had to buy a big luggage cause I brought so much stuff in Thailand. You can get cheap luggage at MBK mall as well. Don't forget to negotiate on clothes, souvenirs, little gadgets, etc. but not food/drinks. Enjoy your stay and be safe!

Oh and also the thing you mentioned that it might be the lottery ticket that were selling on the street. It's really Lottery tickets and in Thailand they draw the prizes twice a month on the 1st and the 16th of the month.

I'm sorry to say you'll not be able to explore the whole of the city of BKK. I grew up in BKK and lived there for 25 years. I still couldn't explore the whole city. What you've seen most of BKK vlogs on KZbin, I'd say those are being filmed within only 15% of BKK area.

Agree! I spent a week in Bangkok and ran 140 kms on early morning adventures down myriad alleyways/ riverside paths/ city streets and Ito parks etc. a crazy layout where getting lost is inevitable, absolutely mandatory and unbelievably fun.

Why i always cry when i see something related to southeast/ east asia… jeez. I lived in korea and adored it but i cry watching google maps and remembering the spectacular food and views and everything is sooo different from my country Argentina ( and i live in the main city even but is soo boring for me). I cried in the chinese new year event here in my city.. i was awed by my 2 days travel to japan.. and i am crying with this video. There is something about a lot of asian countries that make me feel like they match my soul. I wont talk about culture cause that’s a different matter.
