After our failure to find a Dinosaur track earlier in our trip, we decided to try and find one at a designated Dinosaur track site! Maybe it was just too easy. The area where this track rested was a long elevated shelf that John decided to explore. Beautiful rocks and plants but the unexpected. As he stepped between bushes on his way down a slope, he heard the distinct sound of a snakes rattle! A leap to safety, he went back to find the culprit. it was a very small, orangish snake deep in the bush--couldn't tell if there might have been two in there.
We then went on to another place John discovered years ago, an old shed(?) dug out of, or covered by, earth. Lots has changed in the canyon here but the shack was still there as were some amazing rock formations.
We end our day in a campsite in the Swinging Bridge North Campground. We would normally have boondocked, but with rain threatening and only one person off in another site, this place fit the bill--small fee for a close restroom! Our first fire and entertaining bats topped off the evening!
Amazing things to do in Utah!
