New bike season is slowly coming to an end, but not before we took delivery of the 2023 GasGas MC 350F. Although the bike comes into the new year on the previous generation chassis, it remains one of our favorite machines. That said, SML test riders Kyle Vara and Pat Foster spent a day at LACR on the GasGas before giving us their first thoughts, check it out!

Did the bike you guys test have braktec components on it and not brembro ? My dealer just got one in and it comes with braktec because of availability problems with brembro . Thanks

Love the idea of the 350, just don’t want an Austrian bike. Whether it’s bolts falling out, or spokes always getting loose. If Yamaha made a 350 I would be all over it.

I occasionally hear people say that but everyone I know that owns an Austrian bike that uses loctite and a torque wrench never has that problem. I have 130 hours on Austrian and it’s been easy maintenance.

@@whatisaray did you listen to yourself? If you take the whole bike apart and lock tite it all than it’s ok. Or you can just buy a Japanese bike and not worry about it why doesn’t the very expensive KTM group fix a long known about problem. And yes KTM uses poor quality nipples and spokes from stock I’ve seen more wheels malfunction on these newer KTMs than we did back in the 90s when all wheels were kind of janky.

OMG...I've had 6 KTM/ Husky's in the last 5 years (350's/ 450's) and I've never had a problem with any of what you mention. I tighten the spokes after the first ride (as if it was any new bike) and its fine. Let me guess, you heard from your grandmothers brothers sister cousin that bolts and spokes are "always" loose. Take care of your bike, and get a torque wrench and you'll be fine. They are no more prone to it than any other manufacturer.

@@MXJEFF94 my 2019 Husky had two front wheels come apart because the nipples pulled out of the rim and stripped the threads. I’ve seen about ten of them come apart total all of them pulled nipples out of the rim.

@@MXJEFF94 you had that many bikes in that short of time so you don’t have any long enough to really see any adverse effects.

I’ve owned the Husky 350 for a bit and it’s fun but I just think they are kind of dumb. There is no class for them and why would you want to be at a disadvantage against 450s great play bikes but so are 250s so I honestly don’t get the point of them.

They are great for Vet riders! Us older guys don’t want to manhandle a 450 anymore! I don’t lose any ground off the line, maybe you don’t get because you’re brainwashed that you need a 450?

I cannot understand why these dumb companies won't sell or include aftermarket motor mounts so that we can tune the chassis dynamics.
