nct (especially 127) is definitely more of an acquired taste 😭 i think you guys might like nct dream or nct wish's music a little bit more. for context, nct is a big group (25 members), and they have subunits (kind of like seventeen). each subunit has their own sound and concept. personally i think this killing voice showcases nct 127's vibe really well, but they have slower, deeper songs. not every song is confusing and all over the place 😭 if you'd like to see a different side to 127, i'd recommend superhuman, favorite (vampire) and walk (their latest comeback). thank you for giving them a chance though! i'm glad you guys were honest and didn't just praise them without meaning it. have a good day!

The majority of artists under SM Entertainment’s songs are very vocal heavy, as SM are known for having idols with amazing voices with most idols being able to hit the highest notes. NCT as a whole have very experimental songs, they’ve tried lots of different genres, beats, styles and rhythms and have a lot of western hip hop beat and rap influences throughout a lot of their songs. With how experimental they are they do have a lot going on in some of their songs a lot of the time all the members sing harmonies together with the main vocalists of the group doing the high notes. It might seem messy or a lot compared to other groups but their various vocal tones, adlibs, rhythms, melodies and beats is what make NCT different and stand out from a lot of other kpop groups who perhaps don’t take as many risks as they do musically and who maybe don’t have as many main vocalists. They might just not be your cup of tea and that’s okay but thanks for reacting to them anyway, I would suggest reacting to their music videos as they are very cool x

Okay I’m saying this without trying to sound mean but I think you just have a shallow understanding of certain music. You definitely have the right to not like them, that’s 100% okay but it just sounds like you’re bashing it because you don’t get it. All music has layers and you getting confused by their sound or “annoyed” at their high notes (without even knowing the right term for belting, high notes, falsetto, etc.) says a lot about the lack of understanding. You can definitely not like them, they’re an acquired taste and there’s music for everyone but you can still give good commentary regarding literally everything else. Also being put off because “they’re almost too goofy” is a crazy thing to say when you loved seventeen so much😂

NCT 127 is not for everyone but I recommend to be open minded when it comes to reacting and listening to a new group. NCT 127 is my favorite out of all the NCT groups. I personally love all the songs in this killing voice but I have been a fan for a while. What I didn’t care for was that the vocals weren’t appreciated. NCT’s vocals are beautiful

Honestly, the commentary is completely understandable, 127 specifically, and NCT as whole are experimental, so people will interpret it differently, the way I see their music is, it's on the edge too chaotic, witch is exactly why I love it, some may see it as too chaotic. guys, they will NOT like ateez and honestly will probably struggle with a lot of stray kids music too. They don't seem to enjoy music that have typical kpop structures and especially not experimental music, they seem to be more fond of simple pop songs. frankly they will likely dislike most music out of SM groups. They should probably stick to HYBE groups, which are more digestable for people who aren't used to kpop or alternative music.

Korean's don't have many bass vocalist in any of their groups. I'm not sure if it is a cultural thing or a physical condition. Jaehyun is a Baritone, Chanyol and Sehun in EXO are also Baritones although Chen can get pretty low, Felix and another in Stray Kids are actual Bass singers. But they are pretty rare within the ranks of these groups. It also might have to do with the heights as most bass singers are pretty tall and it is only within the last few generations that you have taller men born in Korea. Most of the guys in these groups are around 5'10''. Just guessing here.

NCT is called Neo Technology - these are just short clips of songs, if you listen to the whole song, you will hear the lower voices. And their music is supposed to be more experimental, but most of their songs have a R&B feel

NCT 127 is one of the sub units of NCT (Neo Culture Technology), they are a very big group, currectly with 25 members divided into sub units. NCT 127 are known for being a very experimental groups with their music, the most "NEO" unit of the whole group, many people called it "noise music" and for many it's difficult to digest, but you get used to it once you start to stan them. As a NCTzen and them being my ult group, I can recommend their b-side ballad songs, those use to be a little bit more normal, Gold Dust, No Longer, The Rainy Night, are really beautiful ballads. Also, I would recommend NCT DREAM songs, they are a little more fresh and young sound, and not that messy and loud, so probably you would enjoy their music more (DREAM is my fav su unit).

Thanks so much for this reaction! All the nct units have different sounds as they ARE essentially different groups entirely, just under the same nct brand to make collaborations flow smoothly. So I'd reccomend the NCT dream killing voice for whenever youd guys be up for it as they tend to have a more pop sound! And is less experimental (compared to 127)

I'm not trying to be mean at all when I say this, and NCT 127's songs can be pretty chaotic, so I understand that being an issue to you, but still I think some of your complaints were not very justified? Because you've got to remember that a Dingo Killing Voice is to showcase a group's talent through a medley of usually title tracks and some fan-favorites, or just songs that "show off" in general. It's because of this that a couple of your comments about there being too many high notes or the songs not being deep enough don't really hold. NCT 127 have some beautiful ballads, and yes, most of their songs have high notes in them, but the most happen near the end of the song or in the last chorus, and in medleys like this, the most "impressive" part of the song is the part that is performed. I do think that NCT Dream or NCT Wish might be more to your style preferences, though! Although they are just as, if not more, silly than them, and you didn't seem like you liked that much either (judging by the "a bit too goofy" and "too messy" comments). Nevertheless, I'm glad that you gave 127 a try and I hope that you may think about giving them a chance to grow on you, as they are pretty good at that!
