on our first of five trips to Vietnam the first thing I noticed was how friendly the people were! We have traveled to many places in Vietnam and it's the same every place we've been, just amazingly friendly people! After being here for a year and a half because of the pandemic my wife and I sold everything we owned and moved to Hoi an Vietnam. It's the best decision we've ever made!

Wow! Viet Nam in peace time. Hanoi. I think of Jane Fonda during the Viet Nam war. Google it. Interesting. They called her Hanoi Jane. I think of the movie, Apocalypse Now. The ppl and that culture appears to really enjoy Americans but tourism as a whole. Seemed soooo friendly. The food looks soooo good. The Pho looked fabulous at the night market. The night club area you guys found is a rowdy place according to another KZbinr who spent some time( a few hours in the wee hrs of the morning) reported the place got raided by their law enforcement. Lol. Full of fun and literal mischief. Just like any other place, Loved this video. Stay safe great video. Thanks for bringing us along!

Crucial tips for visiting Hanoi/Vietnam in general: 1. Ignore the wandering snack sellers (like donut). They will try to rip you off, you don't have to be friendly to them just ignore. 2. Keep your pace steady while crossing the street, only avoid cars, the scooters will drive around you as long as ur predictable in your move. 3. When eating noodle meals, the best way is to put some lemon/kumquat + vinegar +pepper and chilly sauce, garlic chilly mixture into the bowl and mix it up. Definitely elevate the meal. 4. Any service from an app or a street vendor with a brand would not rip you off, though those who wander around the street might. Those people even try to rip off Vietnamese tourists. Use grab app for transportation.

What a hustling and bustling town of Hanoi. Thanks for taking us along on this incredible journey as well as your bucket list. You guys should have boarded the train through the downtown area.
@fairview61202 жыл бұрын
What you ate at 4:25 is kind of donut-type and the filling is a mung bean paste. It's probably not too sweet (to save the sugar for profit), and it's a kind of Asian dessert snack, so it's relatively healthy. At 8:12 it is a chili paste, a teaspoon of it is suitable for those who can't handle the spiciness. With Pho, you either use fresh chili or this sriracha. Making a living in VN is still a struggle for many, just like in Bangkok Thailand, or Mexico. The livelihood in VN still depends heavily on tourism. Scams do occur but I hope you guys understand.

this is my first time watching you guys and love the energy that you guys exude. absolutely digging how open you guys are to everything. just a side note because you mentioned that you don't know much culturally about vietnam, vietnam was actually the only southeast asian country that was apart of the east asian sinosphere. meaning that the culture, if you must compare, is most similar to chinese. just wanted to note this bc i saw you guys comparing it to other southeast asian countries like thailand (who used to follow indian culture), so just a heads up there aren't much similarities between vn and the rest. happy touring!
