So Artillery is a Danish band formed in 1982. This song is from their third full length album from 1990 and the song is about Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who was then the leader of Iran. The title is a play on words (Khomeini / Maniac). Fun fack: Artillery hung out with Metallica when they was in Denmark for the recording of both Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets

Grandiosa banda, sus primeros discos son clásicos, y éste en específico está en el top 5 del género, por lo menos para mí. Ojalá se animen a reaccionar a más thrash metal, bandas como Annihilator, Death Angel, Onslaught, Vektor, Tourniquet, Mekong Delta, Watchtower, Coroner, Voivod merecen más difusión, ya que al igual que Artillery, tocan un thrash metal menos “convencional”, más técnico y hasta progresivo, en ciertos casos. Saludos paisanos, da gusto ver sus reacciones, especialmente estas y las de Rush, Porcupine Tree y progresivo en general

100 Points for Nick, the band is from Denmark :-) I had read the Name before, but never heard a song. I like the Music, but I couldn't hear a complete Album, if the singing is Always the same. Singer reminds me of King Diamond, as you say, but also of Warrel Dane R.I.P. of Nevermore, a real heavy thrash metal band of late 90s and early 2000s. If you wanna hear something which is harder than Artillery listen to Nevermore: Seed awakening or Born, 2 out of many great songs

I've heard of them but never sat down and listened. I love the build up and composition of the music. Some catchy riffs. What I don't like is the production quality. A muddy 80's sound. The vocalist was as I expected for the music. He did grow on me as the track progressed. Overall, 7/10. A remaster would bump it to a 8 or 9.

There's a channel by the name of Shreddy Kreuger that does insanely clean remaster of old thrash albums. Definitely check out his 2016 remaster of the album

This is not the original from the actual 1990 By Inheritance album, it sounds like it’s the re-recorded version they did later on in 2003 on the Deadly Relics album, the mix on that is not the best, I prefer the original by far, but that’s just my personal opinion and personal taste, I love the album By Inheritance so much, it’s a thrash masterpiece… I grew up listening to that album, I’m from Denmark, so it hit my radar already back then when it got released and I bought it on CD…
