Perfect thing about Cane's is how simple it is. Chicken (same way) Texas Toast, fries, slaw and drinks. By being so simple its easy to keep everything fresh. Kitchen just keeps frying chicken. I am in Louisiana we have a lot of them and they are non-stop busy. The only problem is the new ones are building where they have more drive-thru space as they were creating street problems with the drive-thru's continuing on to the streets.

"Cane" was the name of the founder's dog. Motto: "One Love, woof, woof." Founder was an LSU student. He took business courses. Put together a plan and strategy. He needed money to start his enterprise, so he went to Alaska to work on a fishing vessel. The chicken and bread are my favorites. I like the American dream aspect. Plan, work hard, be smart, take the risk! Will, you and Dawn are another branch of achieving the American dream, and through the same path. 👍🇺🇲

Hey guys, this brings back memories for me. They opened that Cane’s when I was in school at UT. At the time, that WAS the only one in Tennessee, but there’s now a location in Cookeville, TN, and they’re also building a location on the lower end of Broadway in Nashville by the Hard Rock Cafe.

I was at Raising Kanes in Fayetteville Arkansas. It is very good. I think that it is a little better than chick fil a. Dawn your eyes always tell the story. We had to go to Virginia from New Jersey on the Old Dominion campus. We were going to a Gaither Vocal Band Concert about 5 year's ago there and really didn't know about Raising Cane's. It was just there on campus across from the arena so we went in. Loved it!! We went there twice! The sauce is excellent as is the chicken. We are still waiting for one to come to our area, in the meantime we came up with the batter and the dipping sauce with some help from the web...pretty close in taste too but not the real thing.

After working in oil refineries in California and salmon fishing off the coast of Alaska, Graves returned to Baton Rouge and opened his first restaurant in 1996 near the gates of LSU. He named the restaurant after his yellow lab, Raising Cane. The rest is history - dipped in a little Cane's sauce.

My wife and I tried Canes when visiting our son years ago at UK in Lexington. We loved it. We now have 2 in our local area. Nothing fancy just good chicken fingers done well. There is another very similar chicken fingers place you two should try called Guthrie's. It's almost the same as Cane's except crinkle cut fries are larger and chicken fingers have different taste, very good also.

There is a Raisin Cane about 45 min from us in Beavercreek Ohio. We've never stopped to try it tho. We didn't know if the chicken would have a little kick to it or not because my husband can't do anything with a spice ( like Popeyes). Thanks for your review, may have to try it now

french fries are not just french fries ! they can be greasy or been fried in dirty grease they can be under or over cooked the chicken looked good you should also know the name of the dipping sauce so you can say the type rather than it’s spicy just thought this help your food review

There's a good Raising Cain in Lexington, KY, right off I-75. Then you could wear your UK hat with no problem! It is a stand alone restaurant for all ages..

We have the same situation with Chik Filet.Closest one is over 100 miles away,unless you go to a college campus 40 miles away ,and the restaurant is in a campus building.So you have to get a parking permit,and then hike to where it’s at.

Enjoyed the review as always guys! I had Raising Cane's recently in TX and liked it. It reminded me of Zaxby's or Huey Magoo's. For the absolute BEST chicken around, try Nick's Restaurant in Kingsport! They have the best broasted chicken and potato wedges, and slaw, than anywhere else around! Come up when you can and I'll definitely go with you guys!

The Raising Cane’s are busy up in Northeast Ohio. Two drive thru lanes and frequently a twenty minute delay to get up to the speaker to place an order. Several new locations under construction.
