I absolutely fell in love with this KDRAMA and the lead actress, Han So Hee. I watched the first season of Gyeongseong Creature (the same lead actress is one of the lead actors in that kdrama as well). I watched Gyeongseong Creature before watching My Name, and both are incredible kdramas. I am currently waiting for the second season of Gyeongseong Creature to be released any minute now. I think the actress, Han So Hee, does an incredible job portraying each character that she plays, I am a huge fan of hers to the point where I would watch anything that she is a part of. K-drama's are so different from any western drama, the way the plots unfold is unlike anything I have seen before, the way you are pulled in emotionally is unparalleled

I like Han So Hee as an actress, but honestly will have to disagree with you on Gyeongseong Creature. I started it a few months back and it has been very difficult to finish it due to the, in my opinion, lack of interesting writing. It seems to drag a lot and, honestly, at this point, I'm still considering finishing it just because of the her... A big disappointment...

My favorite thing about this Kdrama, besides the fabulous acting of, pretty much, everyone, is how the history in so concise and relentless from one episode to the next. In fact, I watched the full show in one going because I just couldn't stop watching it. Just great fun (and feelings, of course 😆)

Just to make things clear, the name KDrama has nothing to do with drama. The world "drama" is just what Koreans call TV Shows/Series. The K obviously stands for "Korean" but if they'd be reffering to an American series for example, they would say it's a "Migook Drama" aka an "American Drama" lol The genre you were expecting at first is called a "melodrama." Anyways, great pick! I love My Name. One of my favorite Kdramas ever!

You should watch Queen of Tears! That is a masterpiece that came out this year and broke viewing records that had stood there for so many years. Prepare to laugh, cry, get angry, etc with this Kdrama. It is amazing. “The glory” is good too it has quite heavy scenes though that might be too much if you are a sensitive person.

FYI KDrama has sooooooo many genre that you can pick. After a long time I'm watching KDrama, KDramas have an identity as dramas with lots of plot twists in the thriller or crime genre. Many of my friends see KDrama with like a cheesy romantic movie but after I showed the Action KDrama, they obsessed with Action, Criminal KDrama. So if you want to watch another KDrama or want to introduce KDrama for your friends, make sure to see the genre first for a good experience😙💃🏻

Many people misinterpret K-drama as only having the drama genre, and K-pop only being pop genre, but that's just want the industries are called and they actually make a lot of genres but it's all labeled under 'K-drama' or 'K-pop'
