I love that you started this series!!❤ Just so you know, Vinland is a real place, and it is North America. Viking sailors, namely Leif Erikson discovered it, so he's stories were mostly true. That's also how he met native americans and got the headpiece from them. Leif's story is also historically accurate, which I think makes the show even better.

Leif Eiríksson's exploration of Vinland occurred in late 9th century. The "first contact" with Natives Carlie's thinking of occurred in 15th century. Leif description of event is most likely accurate because Norse/Scandinavian explorers didn't stay in what would become Newfoundland, Canada for very long & routes were lost for 400 years until Christopher Columbus.

I can't really express what this show/Manga means to me. It's one of those things where you've never heard of it but when you experience it, it feels like it was there your entire life. Vinland Saga, to me, is all the emotions that aren't said but rather felt and even though the time period is set a millenia before ours, the lessons taught in it ring true to this day. Profound is the word I'd choose to describe it. I have trust that you both will enjoy it as much as I have and thank you for your entertaining videos.

Vikings were actually the first people to find America and Funny enough it was a Viking called Leif I think or the father of Leif or something and Leif in Vinland Saga is the old man so that is interesting we say Columbus found it but that was because he settled there while Vikings never really did.

It's a Seinen which means the material is for matured young-adults or audiences and above. Its genre involves action, drama, adventure, gore and historical fiction. It's mostly different from other shows you've watched so far as it is heart touching a really rich and deep life story.

Actually in it is said that some vikings or northmen arrived to América(Vinland is América) way before the European Crowns, of course they didn't know it was a while other continent or they suspected it wasn't as big. Vinland is the name the nordic people called America. Leif Eriksson was a historical figure and he was actually the first European to discover America (he landed in Newfoundland, what we know today as part of Canada). So, in this episode he was actually telling the truth, he went there and even came in contact with some of the native Americans (hence the headpiece he was wearing).

Vinland Saga is (loosely) based on our historical events, Leif Erikson was a real Norse Explorer in History who discovered the place they at the time called "Vinland" Obviously none of the overpowered Anime fighting stuff happened in real life, like chopping a boat & 5 men in half with a single swing but it makes the anime more fun of a watch.
