OUR FIRST TINNY MISSION - IN A BOAT I RESTORED!

The first trip out in our new (new to us) tinny! I restored this boat from ground up and now get to go out and explore the creeks and rivers of FNQ. As always there's drama, we break down and have to fix the boat to get home but that's just boating!

I have just sorted a tinny down here in tassie I just got a newer motor as I kept having issues with the old one and was stressed out taking my daughter out. Hopefully start chasing some tuna soon should be exciting in a 13 foot tinny

How come you don’t fish the channel markers plenty of mackerel around them spent a week with some mates on a houseboat and a few days at the bowling club cheers

Depends on the tides fishing the channel markers mate, slack tide is good but with the amount of rain we had been having the volume of water rushing passed them makes it difficult to fish at times. We definitely do fish them at times producing some big queen fish and golden travelley which are always fun in light gear.

Lesson learnt ? ALWAYS have a basic tool kit on board...👍

I always carry basic tools, in this case a pair of long nose pliers, drill and a magnet would not of went astray! Haha 😂
