Hi Jonathan, thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with your nice 755 weekend. I am about to order mine and your video is very useful on how to opt the boat. My question is about your experiences with the 250 V8 Mercury. Are you satisfied with this engine. What are your cruising and max speed and associated consumptions. I am in between 225 V6 and 250 V8. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

@captain_kiri7260 Thanks for your comment, and Happy New Year! We've had the boat for one season, from April to October 2024, before storing it for the winter, and we've logged just shy of 100 hours. We're very pleased with the 250 V8 Mercury outboard, it’s been a fantastic choice. Despite all the extra weight we’ve added to the boat, it planes effortlessly, runs quietly, and offers excellent fuel efficiency. Cruising has been smooth, and we’ve had zero issues so far. Of course, it all depends on how you plan to use your Quicksilver, but for us, the added horsepower has been absolutely worth it. I feel the 225 V6 might have struggled a bit with the extra weight we carry. Definitely money well spent in our case!
