Regarding spooking at unrecognised objects. I am a photographer and it is a frequent occurrence that dogs which are on the lead coming towards me react to the camera just being carried - stopping and barking (from their position it is a huge eye staring straight at them even when I am just carrying it). Often owners are apologising and/or unsure best way to go forward. Long ago I chose to simply take the camera off me, place it on the ground, and back away before turning slightly and get the owner to let the dog examine and sniff the camera. They can then greet me if they choose. This works with most dogs as they quickly understand it is just another thing those weird humans want to carry around with them. Oddly enough there is far less reaction if I am actually using the camera and have it up on my face pointing at them lol.

I am a first time dog-mom and I got a Staffy and it’s the best thing ever xx And you are absolutely right, dog should be in a leash. A woman with a kid and a dog stopped to have a chat with my dog and I. While we were talking, she said, "My dog is not so good on a leash," and decided to take her dog off the leash (I should have picked up on that 🚩🚩). We continued talking, and bear in mind, my dog was sitting in front of me. The lady's dog suddenly jumped at my dog, so I put my leg in front of her. The woman said to her dog, "Bad dog, that's naughty." I checked on my baby dog, but there didn't seem to be any sign of physical injury. Later in the evening, I noticed my dog had a scratching her eye, and it looked so so red. At first, I thought she might have picked something up from the grass while we were playing, but after checking closer, I saw a scratch inside her eye. I kept a close watch, and by the next morning, she couldn't open her eye. I took her to the vet and she has now finished her treatment and all good BUT as you said, it’s first time and last. I’m not entertaining people now. Lesson learned! Your videos are funny but so educational. Ta x
