Poor Mickey Daniels. He had been dead for I think about 10 years at this point but nobody knew how, when, or where at the time. The press didn't notice it and he was unclaimed for so long it's just head shaking.

From Leonard Maltin's "Our Gang" book: Mickey Daniels worked as a cab driver and died in San Diego, CA in 1970. Spanky McFarlane died in 1993. Tommy Bond died in 2005 Jay R. Smith was murdered by a homeless man he had helped in 2002 in Las Vegas.

Robert Blake may be the last one alive now?

@langtongirl That curse if you think about it is completely blarney. Most of them lived past the life expectancy of their time and died of things that unfortunately many people die from. And when you have this many kids in a series, there's bound to be multiple tragedies. A curse would be a relatively small cast where all of them died in uncommon ways over a span of time. Snopes actually did a statistic on this theory debunking it.

It was still almost 20 years off from this, but J.R. Smith's death is pretty brutal as far as how senseless it seemed to be.

@artytoons i have two versions of the book. it's nice but i wished there were more photos & stories. tommy bond ( butch ) was the only rascal i've ever met in 1994 in new york city. i waved to him & said " it's nice to see you tommy ". he smiled, waved, & nodded back.****enjoy.****

Remember this was 1984-no internet, etc. It wasn't as easy to trace people and they may not have tried very hard. It would have been a lot of snail mail letter writing and there were tons of O.G. kids. I think the Maltin/Bann book came out in 1977 and was updated once or twice with information (and films!) that they didn't have at the time.

I am absolutely correct; there are no contemporary, extra-biblical, first hand accountings of such a being; Jesus is myth. Indeed, if what you claimed was true you would have presented evidence to prove your point; you've shown me nothing because you have nothing.
