Hello I have a question. I bought a pretty beat up a2k and did my best to give it new life, but the outside where u would put ur pointer finger on the outside is totally wrecked so I cut it out with an excacto and planned on putting in a new piece I cut from some scrap leather. My question is what's the best way to sew it on, should I pre make hole for the thread? And a quick stitch wouldn't work cause I can't turn that part of the glove inside out. I hope this makes sense. Thanx

Whats the advantage/purpose of the double thumb loop?

The double thumb loop isn’t something very common nowadays. Something I’ve found that’s more a thing in Asian style gloves. I’d say it does help to lock the thumb loop into the thumb felt insert as the tails of the upper portion wrap around the finger felt as it’s routed up to the tip of the thumb, I think creating a more responsive feeling thumb.

To really finish the glove, you should have obtained a Rawlings label. You could have scabbed it from a cheap Rawlings glove if a loose one wasn’t available.
