Our Hedgerow Creatures

The Dock in partnership with Carrigallen Vocational School presents an exhibition of artwork by 1st and 2nd year art students in response to the growing need for awareness of our natural environment. The exhibition reflects their observations of nature, in particular their observations of our Leitrim hedgerows. As part of the exhibition, the students created hand-drawn animations which are show at The Dock.
Through the mediums of Painting, Ceramic Sculpture and Hand-Drawn Digital Animations, an immersive experience has brought about an understanding in the students of the importance of our Hedgerows for carbon capture, as habitat corridors for a very wide range of bird, animal and invertebrate species including many threatened ones and for beauty and landscape identity.
The exhibition is on show at The Dock, Jury café, Monday to Saturday for the summer months of 2023.
