You´ve made a great decision for your summer vacation. South France is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. I spent a lot of time in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a small village. Curd Jürgens and Donald Pleasence lived there many years ago.

At the very end, when Loulou climbs into the bag with the towels and hides under the bag flap, it reminds me of how dachshunds like to burrow. When I was taking care of two dogs at a friend's lakehouse a couple of summers ago, the dachshund decided she liked me and wanted to sleep in bed with me at night. I had a heavy cover over me, but she got under the cover and slept beside my leg. I couldn't figure out how she was able to breathe in there! And why didn't she feel too hot? I made a kind of tent over her so she'd get more air, but she turned around and dug in further with her head toward my feet. So, I guess dachshunds just like to burrow.

Eveline, first of all, you looked like a "gorgeous," Vogue model on that swing. I enjoyed seeing you, hubby Fred and daughters, Romy and Claire enjoying your outing at the river, also the water over the rocks. As always, I loved seeing my sweet Loulou and her pup, Coco frolicking, mealtime, cuddling and welcoming you all back. That breakfast spread (meat cold cuts, cheese, bread and juice) looks wonderful. It reminds me of my travels in western/Germanic Europe. Apparently it’s also in France. I’m a fan. Simple but still better than the average American breakfast :)

Such an ideal place! I'm guessing from the image on the label that Kwak is a wheat beer, which is my husband's favorite beer. Looks as if there were many beers to choose from. Loulou and Coco seem to like their snuggle bags, but Loulou had me laughing at bedtime when she chose her special sleeping accommodation. I do love those two doggos !
