It’s fine when you have a bad game but the expectation is you give 100% effort. He just didn’t look like he cared which is crazy when it’s against your biggest rival and it’s your boyhood team. I really hate the take that Madrid are big and everyone wants to play for them I can guarantee you that 99.9% of people who are fans of English football don't even know who Madrid play at the weekend. No one who supports an English team grew up caring about Real Madrid. If you grow up a fan of Liverpool then your ultimate goal is to play for Liverpool not to play for Madrid. I dont think Liverpool could have done anything different with the contracts and I dont think their in a bad place. Most players negotiate contracts with 18 months left. At that point for all 3 players Klopp annonced he was leaving. No player would have negoiated after that until about October this year once they had seen the new manager. They can offer Salah and Virgil decent contracts and say sign it if you want to stay in Europe. They've got Bradley who looks more complete overall than Trent. Until now the only chance they have had to negotiate is 3 years ago. One year after Salah signed the deal that is ending now, after Virgil had his only poor season and might have been declining and less than half way through Trent's deal.
