Please note: Kings Inn will be charging a Parking Fee and a Resort Fee starting January 1st, 2024. From King's Inn Website: Starting January 1st, 2024, we will implement a Daily Parking Fee of $20+tax per car per night, a 0.195% California Assessment Tax, and $7.88+tax Destination Fee per night. Please take this into account when planning your stay with us. This is a significant price increase and we would have not put this this hotel on our top picks this year. We do our best to make sure our information is accurate, but things can change after we release a video. Always double check total fees and taxes before making a decision to book.

I think the Westin overall is the best DLR area property, period, even including the on-property hotels. The walk actually is not too bad especially because you can cut through the GCH on the way out (they don't let you cut through on the way in).
@AnaheimParkTourist4 ай бұрын
We agree, the Westin is probably the nicest hotel in the area. The walk isn't bad at all and ART has a stop right by the hotel. We know some people that stay there and just Uber to the park. There are lots of different options to get to the parks if your feet are tired. Thank you for watching!
@Leo-gh7nz4 ай бұрын
@@AnaheimParkTourist Not a question unique to the Westin, but if doing Uber, which dropoff do you think is better? The Harbor one is definitely closer to the park entrances, but I heard security is faster in the DTD/DLH side?
@AnaheimParkTourist4 ай бұрын
We never have an issue with long lines in the morning if we rope drop on the Harbor side of things. It gets quite a bit more crowded if you wait until after 8. However, the lines tend to be a lot quicker on the hotel side, just take in mind you will have about an 8 minute walk to the park once you clear security. The lines are nowhere near the craziness of the Harbor side.

How does the Residence Inn compare to the Element? Thanks!
@AnaheimParkTourist4 ай бұрын
Hi. We have not stayed at the Residence Inn yet. It’s on our list to check out. Looking at their website, it looks very comparable to the Element. The biggest thing I notice is, the Residence Inn rooms look to be true suites, where the bedroom area is separated from the living room area with a door. At the Element, the two room types that we have stayed in did not have a separate room with a door for the bedrooms. It was one large room. Both offer included hot breakfast. Residence Inn is a bit closer to food options and a CVS and Walgreens. Element isn’t very close to things like that, but you will walk by food options on Harbor Blvd. on your way to and from the Disneyland resort if you decide to walk to the parks. The Element is next to highway 5 freeway. The pool area looks nicer at the Residence Inn. I’m sorry we cannot give you first hand experience for the Residence Inn but hope this information is helpful. Thank you for watching!

I don’t know why you don’t push the Anaheim Desert Inn Suites. It is a bare bones, extremely reasonable and a stones throw from Disneyland. They have a free continental breakfast. And I highly recommend this hotel for the budget minded.
@AnaheimParkTourist5 ай бұрын
We have stayed at Desert Inn many times in the past and it is very bare bones. On our last stay we had what looked like body fluids on the furniture, the bed was worn out and thin. The bed sagged in the middle and we both kept falling into the center. If you look at the mattress thickness in the video it is very thin when compared to other hotels. Based on our experience, we couldn't recommend this hotel to our viewers. We were really looking forward to our stay here and depressed we had poor sleep and a bad stay. If you watch this following video we go over everything: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZyZeHWfa9aLaas We are happy you had a much better overall experience than we had. We are starting to hear a lot of complaints on the different Disney forums about this hotel. We aren't planning on returning until the rooms are refreshed or better thicker mattresses come to the hotel.

Interesting that you really liked the Grand Legacy Hotel. We stayed there a year ago and had an absolutely horrible experience. No parking, rude service. We will never stay there again.
@AnaheimParkTourist7 ай бұрын
We enjoyed our stay there but you are right parking can be tight. I believe we mention this in our overnight experience video at this hotel. A lot of these closer hotels have small tight lots and most of them valet for this reason. This used to be one of our go to hotels when our kids were smaller and back then customer service was spot on. The manager at the time was Ozzy, he moved onto the Wyndham just a few doors down where he continues to get amazing reviews. We think post reopening customer service has been lacking in a lot of industries. We haven't any negative customer service interactions with any of the hotels in the Anaheim area. That being said we have had a couple of odd interactions but thats about it. We picked this hotel due to its relative close proximity to the parks, the overall condition of the hotel, variety of room types, and a number of booking specials if you book far enough in advance. We appreciate your comment and thank you for watching.

You are correct, it used to be the Super 8. I don't know the exact date but it changed over sometime between 2017 and 2018. King's Inn is now owned by a family that owns one other Hotel in San Diego.

You forgot the Fairfield Anaheim Resort, just a little further up the street from Park Vue but much more affordable. Stayed there last week and was an extremely easy walk into the parks and Downtown Disney.

Fairfield Inn is a great option. Our list was a starting off point for people to begin their hotel search. We used criteria such as price, included amenities (e.g. free parking, breakfast), discounts/specials, throughout the year and tried to add a full service luxury hotel as an alternative to the Disney Hotels.

I value these videos so much as a newer to the industry Travel Agent. I appreciate your honest and relatable feedback. While I am in Oregon, I’ve personally vacationed more at Walt Disney World, than Disneyland, so these videos help me so much in advising my clients of their non Disney options. It’s also helped me create my own list of more good neighbor hotels we’d personally like to try. Thanks for all you do! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season.

Have you ever tried the Hampton Inn that’s across from the Cambria? I really liked this hotel for the price and the convenience of catching the toy story shuttle next door.

We actually had plans to stay there earlier in the year but our plans changed. We like the fact that there is breakfast and the location to the Toy Story Lot is close. We want to stay at this hotel soon along with the Comfort Inn located nearby, We have heard from viewers that both are good choices.

@AnaheimParkTourist9 ай бұрын
The hotel prices in the area have gone through the roof. We remember when Candy Cane was $150 a night! That is why we didn't include places like Camelot/Tropicana and even Courtyard Marriott Theme Park (we haven't stayed here because of price). When the hotels prices start getting close to Paradise Pier/Pixar Place prices, we would rather stay on property.

Thanks for the information. Have you guys ever stayed at Stanford inn or thought about staying there? Thank you
@AnaheimParkTourist9 ай бұрын
We have considered it. When looking at a new hotel, we always look at the most recent reviews and see how they are trending. Always look at the trends a great hotel can go downhill fast. For this hotel, there are great compliments and then there are complaints about insects, thin walls, and smells. So we have stayed away from booking this hotel. Have you ever stay there? We would love your feedback as we are always open to checking out new places.
